Granada House Family Restaurant

We went there and had a great meal yes, but they lost the food we had packaged. No big deal right, just give us a discount and we will be on our merry way. At any similar restaurant, say Boston Pizza for example, they would likely just pay for the entire meal. At first everything went fine, our waitress said straight up, "we'll just take 50% off"-roughly what was left of the meal. The manager, after insulting the waitress for even suggesting such a heinous crime, told us we would have to pay the full price. We argued for a bit, then she actually went to the back and looked through the trash until she found our meal, all so that she could judge for herself the exact amount we had eaten. In the end she would not budge from $7.95, the break-even cost of our $13 meal.
Cost of a 50% discount: ~ $6.50.
Cost of loosing three customers: a toonie.
It's obvious what they really care about.

This is a family style restaurant and the food is usually good.
It's not a fancy place but does have a very cute little lounge tucked off on one side.
Very friendly staff and owners.
