Famous Dave's Barbecue

We've been to Famous Dave's about 3 times since May and all I can say....if you're ever in Hayward, WI - go visit the original Famous Dave's and see how it's supposed to be done because the one in Sioux Falls is a joke. Twice, we gone and have been told they were out of roast chicken...are you kidding me?? Admitedly, these were on weekend nights but twice? The first visit, the waiter actually came to our table and said "Hi, my name is *Joe*, welcome to McDonald's" - we thought he was joking ... he wasn't, that was his other job. To add to this, we were told there was no roast chicken and when we did get our food, it was barely warm. The second time we went - our waiter was absolutely wonderful and he truly made our night fun....and I regret to say I can't remember his name. The last time we were there - again, no chicken - again, by the time we got our food, it was barely warm. Sorry to disagree with all the wonderful reviews this restaurant has received here but this is not a good place to go with a larger group - they apparently can't handle service for more than 4 in a party.

We absolutely love the laid back atmosphere and excellent customer service. This is one of our favorite places to eat in the city...the food is delicicous time and time again!

I order the same thing everytime I go to FD's and have never been dissapointed, nor have I ever tasted anything slightly different than the last time I was in. Plus we always get the same hott waiter, don't know how we do it, but it gets done ;). Makes meals more enjoyable!

I like that there is a special area for take out parking. I like that they double check the orders before you leave and the servers are cheerful and positive. There is usually a limited wait time for take out. The food is always great. Haven't had a bad meal yet!

We go here often. The atmosphere is fun, the servers are great and the selection of several BBQ sauces on the table makes it easy to personalize your meal. Side dishes are always good and portions are reasonable for the money.

this place has excellent food and service and the prices are in the average range for what you expect to pay for this type of food
