Corsa Cucina at Wynn

Corsa is another outstanding restaurant at Wynn and my frequent sightings of Steve himself there are a testament to it's elegant design, fine fare, and superb service. I like the Pinot by the glass they have here. The bar has some good cocktails to and the bartender helped invent my new favorite martini with a few friends who were visiting from LA. We named it "Grey's Anatomy" and it's basically Grey Goosa shaken with a spash of grapefruit juice - very refreshing and not too sweet! The bartender may or may not remember us or this drink, but trust me - it was a fun night. Corsa has a number of small plates to try and share as appetizers - we tried the fried artichokes, the margharita flat bread, and this clam dish I would not recommend - delicious, but it was just a little messy and there's lot's of great things on the menu! We all ordered something a little differnt for our main. I had the filet done rare in a rich balsamic glaze - probably my second favorite steak in town to DelMonicos. The other girls got a pasta dish - both the bolognese and seafood/lobster pasta dishes were rich and called for boxing at the end of the meal. We finished off with the sorbets - I think there was green apple, cocnut, and raspberry. The restaruant vibe really feeds off the traffic generated by people walking by the poker room and around the casino. It's fun to feel like part of the action while having your own little slice of Wynn real estate along with a nice dinner. The lounge is first come first serve, but to ensure a table in the restaurant I would call ahead fro reservations.
