  • La Casa Rosa is amazing! I have been going there for quite some time and continue to several times a year. The menu is simple, but you won't be disappointed. The most unique thing about the place is the jam bar. You are served bread and go up to a table with several types of jam ranging from chutney and sugar free. They are all home-made by the owner. The owner, Charlie, will come out and greet his diners personally and is very, very nice. The service is prompt and always willing to help you. This is a must if you are in the area! The plates are affordable, but I wouldn't suggest bringing young children. The menu doesn't offer food most young children would eat, such as burgers, fries, or chicken tenders. It is designed more for an adult's taste.

  • La Casa Rosa is in the quaint town of San Juan Bautista, CA - which is an absolute must to visit if it weren't for La Casa Rosa. This neat little restaurant has a very limited menu - but it's great and it works. There are two main casserols that have a corn base with a chili-like filling. They differ in the cheese used and one has peppers. They also offer a seafood or chicken soufle. Then, while you wait for the meal, you get to feast on the proprietor's home-made chutneys - TO DIE FOR!!!

An the propiertor - what a great old gentleman. Charlie is his name and he is just a doll.

Check it out - he is only open for lunches.
