  • Order: I visit Mario's place often but this particular time I had my favorite salad, the Leone salad made up of field greens, roasted bell peppers, roasted pine nuts & goat cheese. Along with that I had the wild mushroom ravioli with shitake cream sauce, yum. The food is always delicious, prepared with only the freshest ingredients. Oh we also had the calamari fritti, which is hands down the best calamari in town!!

  • Review: The atmosphere at Mario's Place is warm and friendly, a perfect refuge from my daily grind. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, your experience is very important to them. I've often likened Mario's to my own personal "Cheers", a place where everybody knows my name (but still likes me). Take the time to visit Mario's Place, even if it's just for a glass of wine, a checca pizza and some smooth jazz on a Saturday night. I guarantee you will not regret it!

  • Order: Calamari Appetizer: very fresh with two excellent sauces - a tomato and basil vinegrette and a white wine and lemon sauce.

Ceasar Salad: very rich and spicy with plenty of garlic and anchovies.

Pear and gorgonzolla pizza: thin, crispy crust with obviously high quality ingredients.

Rack of Lamb: just about the best lamb ever!

  • Review: Mario's place has the class of a high end metrpolitan restaurant, and yet at the same time the friendliness of a local family tratoria. The Palagi brothers have refined the concept their father Mario started 20+ years ago in Riverside. Chef Leone Palagi does a great job on every single dish, while brother Andrea and Arigo make sure the staff is well trained and everything runs smoothly. Live music is offered every Friday and Saturday.

Every item on the menu is fantastic. The calamari and squash blossom appetizers are great. The pizzas have a thin, crisy crust and are honestly one of the best I've ever had. The mushroom ravioli is rich and filled with fresh mushrooms. The lamb is absolutely world class. Mario's is our favorite restaurant for a reason - great quality and taste every on every single item!

  • Order: Andrea salad: greens, grilled asparagus and beet chips with an asian vinagrette. The crispy beets add a great crunch and flavor!
Wild mushroom ravioli with shitake cream sauce -need I say more, this dish is to die for!
Hot parcel of chocolate and raspberries: I know this dessert by heart because I almost always order it: ganache and raspberries inside chocolate sponge and wrapped in phyllo and served with blackberry sorbet. Just the best dessert in the world!

  • Review: Mario's is the dining gem of the Inland Empire. The restaurant and bar are beautiful and classy without being stuffy or pretentious. The food is amazing and the wine selections are out of this world! The service is always top notch. Chef Leone is a true master - the dishes that he prepares are so delicious and flavorful, not to mention beautiful. Mario's live music makes for a really fun night out. All in all, Mario's Place is the best dining experience in town!
