Review: My boyfriend and me go here about once a week. We both love it! The food is the best I have had in all the GTA, the atmosphere is nice and clean and the service is great. We have brought quite a few people here who have never tried sushi for their first experiences and now they all go on their own and love it too!I highly recommend this restaurant!

Review: Went there three times in January. The sushi is outstanding. The food is a good value. (One small weakness: They overdo it on Japanese mayo and crunchy stuff.)The service is always VERY friendly, but a couple of times somewhat slow. When it got crowded they had trouble keeping up.

Review: We enjoy Niwa's amazing sushi at least once a month...there is no better sushi in Oakville. The staff is very courteous and the care that they put in preparing the dishes is evident. We often call ahead for take away, and the order is always waiting for us when we get there, often with an extra soup or salad added as a bonus. Go to Niwa, you will leave full and happy!

Review: We had to wait a long time to get seated and after we got a table they took forever to bring us menus. Then forever to take the order. The food was good but the bad service was extremely disappointing.
Order: Chirashi Dinner, Ikura, Tamago
Review: Good service, moderate food. I've visited about three times throughout two years and wasn't terribly impressed. The U-don ingredients are literally the packaged seafood mix and frozen vegetables you find at the dominion next to the store (I've purchased it before), Their Agedashi Tofu is soggy and bland....and the serving portions are small for its price. The food is about the same level as the cheaper sushi places in Toronto.The presentation of the dishes however are pretty nice and the service is welcoming. If you're craving sushi and it's convenient, it's certainly better than the garbage you can pick up at Dominion. If you have a car however, I'd suggest other places like Crazy Sushi or Mye.
Order: We ordered white tuna maki, spicy tuna maki (SOO GOOD) and spider crab maki. We also love dragon maki.
Review: My girlfriend and I come here every week (usually Friday night)..The food is always top notch. The staff is incredibly courteous. And I couldn't think of going anywhere else.The best sushi experience in Oakville, hands down!

Review: Not very good food - the teriyaki sauce was watery and did not have much flavour. The soybeans were soggy and not very tasty. We did enjoy the tempura. We had take out so not much to comment on the service although they did charge me double for one of the dinners.

Review: We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times and always had excellent food, beautifully prepared and presented. The fish is melt-in-the-mouth fresh and the rice delicately flavoured - depending on the order. The staff is attentive and courteous.

Review: i love niwa. the place was decorated so nicely, the food was really good. the prices may seem expensive, but you get a lot for your order. it comes with a house salad, miso soup, rice, and fruit.

Review: Been there a number of times. Food is always excellent, and the staff will recognize you after a few visits and welcome you even more warmly than the first time. Fish is fresh and tasty, and the cooked food is also delicious (the Kalbi dinner being a personal favourite)

Review: I have been to this place quite a few times and it is always delicious. The spicy rolls are great, and the fish is very fresh. The staff is always very friendly and the restaurant seems to be quite popular! One of the best sushi places in Oakville/Mississauga.

Review: It has been awhile since i've visited this restaurant, but once I found this website I decided that i wanted to write a review to say how much I loved this placewe ordered one of the lunch specials, came with rice, sashimi pieces, chicken terryaki and tempura all in a bento box! we also ordered the softshell crab as an appetizer-- and it was mediocre, the batter was a little heavy for my liking... but the maki rolls we ordered, including the rainbow roll definitely made up for it!what was even better was that they gave us spicy salmon handrolls on the house! compliments of the sushi chef! it was probably the best dining experience i;ve had in oakville for sushi!the next time i visit oakville, i will definitely come to niwa! great ambiance, wonderful service, and the food was top notch.

Review: All food is delicious, sushi in partuicular is very fresh, rice has unique sweet flavor that is not found elsehwere. Spicy salmon hand rolls (maki) are to die for. Small restaurant, service OK but the food is top-notch.
