Nobu Malibu

It was not a jaw-dropping or spectacularly wonderful restaurant itself. It took my friend and me a half hour to be seated, in which case there was no place to wait, and we had to walk around outside in the cold, and buy Starbucks to keep us warm. It was very, very loud - think bar/club loud - and sometimes I couldn't get a waitress's attention, and it felt cramped, as well. But! -the food was delicious, and the sushi-chef we had paid rapt attention to us the moment we finished off each sushi dish. We took a guess and figured that he was the head or at least sous-chef since he was handing out orders... Prices are a little steep, and can probably only be afforded if you've got a small appetite, or deep pockets. Take your pick, but it's still worth it.
