Because my husband asked for lemons with his couple of glasses of water, we were charged $8.00 for WATER!!!!!!!
We have not been back...and will not return. - Order: Tacos, Enchiladas, Beans, Rice Colas and water to drink.

Not only is the food authentic Mexican cuisine, but the service is outstanding. Maria's has been in Waynesville for many years and although several other Mexican restaurants have cropped up over the last few years, Maria's is still the best. Everything is prepared by Maria herself, yet many times she still finds time to come out and greet guests in person. She even takes orders and serves during certain times of the day. The prices are a little higher than some Mexican restaurants, but the portions are large and worth the price. I've eaten here many, many times over the years and always treat out-of-town guests to a meal here. Those who make a return visit to Waynesville always make a point to visit Maria's again. If you are looking for a great tasting meal with authentic Mexican flavor, do yourself a real favor and go to Maria's.
