  • OrderHomeburger with side greek salad
  • ReviewI tried this place, despite it being a bit of a walk from work, b/c it was recommended by a health inspector friend with too many bad stories, and not enough good ones. It was a tightly run little outfit, very clean and appealing, with incredibly fast service.

However I was disappointed upon biting into what is potentially the most bland burger I have ever eaten. It was sort of hard too, and not a homeburger as I have come to expect it - Instead of being made from scratch, it was a processed patty. The only flavour on my plate was in the black olive on the salad, and the pickle in my burger.

Service was good until the server asked how the food was and was clearly offended when I told her the burger was bland.

bottom line - avoid the burger.

  • ReviewThe Mutual Street Deli has been around (in some form or another) for over 50 years. It's about family and you can sense that in the food and service. You can see how close everyone is to each other and the ambience makes you feel welcome. Great, simple food--great prices for the students at Ryerson nearby.

  • I Call This Place "Sienfeld's"...

  • OrderQuarter chicken white with fries and salad
  • ReviewI call this place "Sienfeld's" because it's simple but somewhere I've been known to eat at all the time. It's affordable, friendly, inconcievably quick, and clean (something to think of when you're east of Church). The food is good, portions generous, and the salad choices including Cesar and Greek at no extra cost is nice. I'm just annoyed that they close a 4pm! When about when I want dinner?!?
