  • This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and again, I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is comfortable with a great location on State Street amidst the bustle of the city. The food was again delicious although it may be a bit pricey it was truly worth every penny. Our service could've been better. Unfortunately we had to remind our server of a couple of needs, however, it was not terrible and did not ruin our dining experience. Well worth another visit.

  • Order: caramel apple martini, squash & apple soup, pork chop with apple cider glaze and brussel sprouts, creme brule

  • We enjoyed another good meal her last night before the theatre. This week was the end of the summer menu, so the excellent chicken breast will have a new presentation from the panzanella salad and asparagus that accompanied our entrees. Mussels continue to be good -- this time in a spicy and smoky tomato broth -- and the tuna tartare is consistently tasty. Our waitress told us that the pavlova was only egg white and air which it was but with wonderful fruit and fresh whipped cream. Wine list is interesting but very, very pricey for what is offered, especially by the glass. Atwood Cafe used to be a regular pre-theatre stop, but it is rapidly pricing itself out of our pocketbook. Too bad, since it is always a treat to dine here.

  • Order: Mussels, tuna tartare, chicken breast, summer fruit pavlova
