Peggy Sue's

Monday, March 9th 2009 about 1:30pm wanted to take my cousins from Honolulu to eat Peggy Sue's for lunch. There where 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Inside was packed but outside had 2 tables, one was occupied (round table with 5 chairs). My cousin walks in carrying one of the toddlers and the lady turns to tell her without asking how many or can I take your order, she didn't even know if we were taking out or sitting!...she says "oh, sorry we don't have any room plus we don't have any highchairs" and she turned and walked away from the counter. I think it's cause we wasn't WHITE cause my brother-in-law and my sister goes there and they don't have any problems. My sister says cause he is White. I won't ever try to go back and waste my gas from Kahului to Kihei like we did, just to enjoy burger's we heard was good. I'm afraid it will happen again. Forget it.

This is a darling place owned by fine people who care about making sure you have a good time. It has a 50's diner style atmosphere and food... shakes are thick and the burgers done to perfection. (Sandwiches are really good, too!) It's a nice break from the local dining scene for lunch or dinner.
