Colony Restaurant

Attended a special birthday celebration for twelve this evening. The restaurant was clean and the reception was excellent. The meal was a mixture of successes and failures. Most of our party opt'd for a four course meal that included an appetizer, a soup/starter, an entrée and dessert. Some of the choices arrived at appropriate temperatures, but most were luke warm - as if they were being held in queue for an extended period of time. My rib-eye steak and baked potato had good taste and good texture (both were tender) but their temperature was at or just a few degrees above room temperature. Additionally, the table service was poor, not a reflection of of the server, but the fact there was but one server for the whole party of twelve. (Our server may have also have had other tables too).
The overriding aspect of disappointment was based on the feeling that The Colony Restaurant wasn't interested in return business from twelve local residents. Ensuring that everyone got the minimum of food, wine and service.
