Sunrise Grill

Sunrise serves good food with all the extra special touches. They offer both regular and pure maple syrup for the pancakes. The custom-painted murals give it a homey, country feel without the overblown decor of a Cracker Barrel. The service is better than any of the national chains (Waffle House, Huddle House, IHOP, Denny's) The food comes out of the kitchen quickly and hot.
One word of caution -- they're only open for breakfast and lunch, and the after-church hour is crowded every Sunday -- but there's coffee while you wait. There's also a second location in North Augusta which is every bit as good as the original.

When choosing a breakfast establishment in the south, most southerners will opt for Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. I was Very surprised with Sunrise Grill. The staff was wonderful, the food delicious. The inviting aroma brought you back to your grandmothers kitchen as a child. My husband and I now go to Sunrise Grill EVERY Saturday morning as our "date" away from life. We won't have breakfast at Waffle house or Cracker Barrel again!

Price was great. Kids meals were only $1.99 without a drink.
