Yang! Yang! Yang! It's me, it's me, it's SusieT!
Hey, I love those Outback Commercials and I REALLY love that Aussie accent, but the actual Outback experience falls short. My dining companion and I were seated right away and we were happy for that. Drinks were Desert Dry Martinis which were good, you can't really screw that up too much unless they have watered down the drink. We ordered The Bloomin' Onion which came hot and fresh with that delectable horseradish sauce. Yummy! The fresh bread was hot and good if you like a sweet type bread. So far, so good. Salads were edible, neither really good nor really bad. It was time for steak, a carnivore's dream. I visit a steakhouse because I love me some steak. My Ribeye came the requested medium rare, but the taste and texture were not what a Ribeye should be, you know, that top quality taste that is is a flavor party in your mouth. The kind of taste that makes you celebrate your human palate. My Outback Ribeye was somewhat flavorless and tough. Now, for my companions Filet. Overcooked, underseasoned, fair at best. It seems that Outback Steakhouse used to have pretty good steak, but quality is slipping. I'll give Outback another try one day, just not anytime soon. Over & Out! - Order: Bloomin' Onion, of course! Desert Dry Beefeater Martini, House Salad /Blue Cheese Dressing, Baked Potato, Chargrilled Ribeye, Filet
