- OrderGarlic Bread Bruschetta, Chicken stuffed with pears, Steak (medium well) with veggies, No dessert
- ReviewWhen we arrived we stood at the front door for about 15 mins and then had to walk around the restaurant to find a server to seat us. I guess they have no hostess?? We ordered a couple glasses of wine to start which were'nt bad. We then ordered the Bruschetta Garlic Bread as a starter and boy oh boy, it tasted like crap. Even the roasted garlic was so roasted that it tasted like mush. Needless to say we didn't finish it. For dinner I had the stuffed chicken with pears. I wasn't blown away at all, not even impressed. My husband ordered the steak with veggies. The steak was so bloody it had run all over his plate. I was not impressed and niether was he. We asked the server to take it back to the kitchen to be cooked more which meant I was left to eat dinner alone, infront of my husband while he watched. Once his meal arrived back at the table, I was finished. Talk about lousy service! Then our server had the nerve to ask us if we wanted dessert??? Hahaha..we said, we would like our bill. The bill was the real shocker. For that whole experience we were billed $110!!! and being the people that we are we even left a tip, even though we didn't want to. So please if you're looking to eat somewhere in Orangeville, save your money and go somewhere else...Trust me, you will thank me later! I work within the Food Industry. With some of the top chefs in the world, I might add. So if I say don't eat here, don't!

- Orderbruchetta, diver scallops, chocolate torte merlot
- ReviewThis was my 5th visit to Greystones since its re-opening and as per usual- I left impressed. Food and service was excellent and I was excited to try several of the new menu items. We shared the bruchetta (I love the whole roasted garlic cloves) and I ended up choosing the diver scallops (pan seared and served med rare) and my husband had the agnolotti. Portions were generous as usual and spot on. We finished with the chocolate torte which is pure decadence. Our server was excellent and provided us with a few entertaining ghost stories.
We went downstairs to the new pub and listened to the live music (Trouble and Strife) with another glass of wine. I love the cozy new pub and will definitely be making it our new regular spot. Thanks for a great night and I look forward to many more!

- ReviewAfter hearing rather good things about the Greystone Inn we were severely disappointed. Upon entering our high hopes seemed to be apt, for the interior and layout are very nice, with an understated elegance. It is to bad that is about the only good thing about our dinning experience. The aforementioned elegance quickly sours upon seeing other patrons dressed in shorts and sneakers.
Our server was pleasant, and knowledgeable about both the wine list and menu. We ordered crab cakes & calamari for appetizers, and they were satisfactory. Nothing outstanding about them, and the sauces served with them left something to be desired, and in fact it can't compare to several other restaurants in town.
The main course is where the meal takes a turn for the worse. The seafood risotto was horrific. It tasted like Kraft Dinner with the consistencies of oatmeal, after a few bites we quickly put it to the side. The jumbo shrimps that came with it were so over-cooked, we honestly couldn't eat them. You had to cut them with a steak knife, and drink a ton of wine to even be able swallow apiece. We left them virtually untouched only being able to choke down a few bites.
The rib eye, which in most places we have been, is usually a nice thick cut of steak. At the Greystone, however, the rib eye was more the thickness of a Stir Fry steak, and with more fat on it then a BigMac! Honestly, about half the steak was fat, and it was marbled in with the meat. I am not sure where they get their cuts of meats, but they really need to find a new vendor. As for the "blue cheese" topping, well I don't believe they could have gotten a sharper cheese. It didn't blend at all with the steak, and we ended up having to scrap it off. The only bright side of the entrees was the side of vegetables served them. They actually managed to cook them fairly well.
We decided to play it safe with desert and ordered cheesecake thinking it would be hard to mess it up. Much to our chagrin even the cheesecake was sub-par. The crust tasted like soggy coconut, and the main part of the cake was bland and fairly tasteless.
The best part of the meal was when the check came and it they gave out Ovation chocolate mint sticks. Speaking of the bill, since we paid with debit card we had to walk through the "pub" to pay. We felt like we were intruding upon some Private party and were being glared at for daring to enter their inner-sanctum.
Over all we will never eat there again unless they completely re-vamp the menu. Perhaps they should call Gordon Ramsey for some tips.

- OrderCreemore, Vodka/cranberry, Goat cheese fondue,Spinach salad, 2 Prime Rib dinners, Spanish coffee.
- ReviewWe walked in and the place was hopping. We entered through the pub door and we're greeted warmly by the lady behind the bar(then server for the evening) In fact I think everyone in the bar turned to say hello, seems everyone was in great spirits.
We were seated in the dinning room, nice table infront of the fireplace. The service and food was outstanding. Best Prime Rib I've ever tasted. We decided to have our coffees back in the pub where we enjoyed some great conversation with the other patrons and staff. There is a very comfortable and easy feeling about this place. Makes you want to go back for more.

- OrderBombay Chicken, Surf and Turf.
- ReviewThe front desk service was indifferent & abrupt when we entered the restaurant in a large group although we had reserved well in advance. We, in error, did not ask the price of the feature - & felt $125 was over priced. (surf & turf for 2) The waitress was non enthusiastic & the meal (not the company) bland.
We will not be returning.

- Orderstriploin steak, bruschetta
- ReviewFood was mediocre, took a very long time to come. We were in a group, but had seating reservations. Our table was NOT ready when we arrived so our party was sent to the bar area, in which we did not all fit. Our table was innaccesable to the waitress. Other guests ordered the "feature" seafood and weren't told the price was $125.00!! For $30 they could have had a similar menu item without shrimp. The entire group felt ripped off by this blatant omission of fact. No one in the group will return or recommend this restaurant.
