Eclectic, laid back but always crowded. Certainly not your run-of-the-mill breakfast! With strictly self-service coffee and water, service is limited to taking orders at your table and slinging plates across across it once they leave the open kitchen.
The menu is packed with a variety of predominantly vegetarian and vegan fare, supplemented by—of all things—bacon! Seriously: bacon.
Items tend to be high fiber, low fat, delicious and decidedly alternative. Sugarless, non-dairy items abound. Many entrees are served with home-fried potatoes and toast made of one of four freshly backed homemade high fiber breads. And, fresh fruit, fruit juice and smoothies are always available. Healthy never tasted so good!
Born of the northern bound hippie influence migrating up from San Francisco, the Keystone is unique spot to eat in a town the Wall Street Journal once termed "…the last bastion of the terminally hip." The Keystone Cafe: healthy, hearty breakfasts. And, bacon!
- Order: Oatmeal sesame pancake, a side of bacon and a blueberry smoothie
