Spago Ristorante Italiano & After Dark Lounge

My husband and I have frequented this restaurant for years! Never once have we been disappointed with the food, the waitstaff, the wait time or the amenities offered. The ambience is romantic but still family friendly. The portions are large--you'll need a doggy bag with most of the pasta entrees! The pizzas are lovely; 1 pizza + 1 salad = 2 people with a full belly! Very substantial! Gratzi, Spago! We'll see you again!

My wife and I come across the border into Windsor from the United States every couple of months just to go to Spago Ristorante. We've been coming to this wonderful restaurant for nearly a decade and have never once been disappointed.

As my wife will tell you, I am a tough critic when it comes to Italian food, since I am 100% Sicilian and grew up eating great Italian food. As well, I've been to Italy, so when I say that Spago is a true taste of Italy, I am not exaggerating. If you like Italian food, you will love Spago!

The service is always above par at Spago. There is always someone waiting to pour more water or asking you if you'd like another drink. Very friendly. Very low lit, romantic atmosphere with a beautiful wine rack at back of room. The food is always very good except for the last experience I had where I had stuffed large tubes of squid which I was not impressed with. Overall though I enjoy the restaurant.

Your floors were dirty and so was the washrooms. Our waiter was unfriendly and rarely visited our table.

We love this restaurant. We have eaten here at least 6 times, and we love it every time. We drive 1 hour from the suburbs of Detroit to eat here. We have eaten at Italian restaurants all over the world! The lasagna is the best we have ever had!

worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I used to go here years ago when it was a lot more reputable. I stop going for a while because the food was so terrible, and decided to give it another chance......boy am I sorry I did. The food was down right terrible and over priced. I realize why I stopped going here in the first place. Any other Italian restaurant on Erie is much better and much CHEAPER

If I could afford to go to this place every Friday I would. This was my 4th time there and everytime I have guests in town I take them there because I know for sure I won't be disappointed and so far I haven't. I love everything about that place; the food, the wine, the deserts, atmosphere, service, just everything.

The worst dining experience ever!!! first off the hang pictures in the entrance of people that have suposedly ate there...yeah right> A picture of a well known chef that no longer works there and feature "true tasting" italian food.......never will I go back or recommend to friends the meal was down right awefull!!!

Started with there freshly bake focaccia which was very good bread and comes with all the meals.Spicy shrimp appetizer was great tasting.House specialty veal with porcini mushrooms in a brandy sauce was excellent. My wife had eggplant parmesan which she truely enjoyed. Her main course was the seabass and it was the best she ever had. We dine out about once a week and this was our first time and we will definately make this a regular place for us. The service was professional and pleasant. The wine list is excellent. Strongly recommend.
