Foia Restaurant & Lounge

This was the second time we visited Foia and we're very impressed once again. The service was spot on, from the greeting at the door to the detail of the wine service. The restaurant had a nice buzz from customers, while the contemporary atmosphere set a nice mood.

The look and feel of the restaurant are fantastic but, unfortunately, the food did not live up to the reviews many on this site have given. The calamari was very good, but the lamb was just under average and tasted as though it had been cooked hours earlier and heated in a microwave just before service. The creme brulee was just average. My husband had the spring rolls and tilapia and commented that neither dish was worthy of its proce (truly a reasonably priced menu). I'm surprised at the number of 10s this restaurant has received as just about everyone that I've spoken to has had an unenjoyable experience.

I'm surprised and suspicious at the number of positive and near perfect reviews this restaurant has received. The food was good at Foia, but I can count at least 10 restarants in Windsor and the surrounding area where I've had much better meals and experiences. My entree was served less than luke warm and our waitress was a bit on the slow side. I will probably try Foia again, but again, I am shocked by the suspiciously high number of positive reviews.

FABULOUS!!!!!! I LOVE THAT THEY CHANGE THE MENU PERIODICALLY. CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THE SPRING MENU!

I was a little dismayed when we got there and they had changed a couple items on the menu .. but the kitchen offered to make me the cheese app and tilapia anyhow! It was SO good - from start to finish!
