I always drive by this place and see that it is always full, so I assumed it would have great food. I went in and ordered a Tuna dragon roll. The place was busy so it took about 15 minutes to get my order. That's fine, I actually thought it was quite fast considering the busy time. What wasn't fine was the food. I am a certified chef and sushi is one of my favourites things to eat. I have tried sushi at hundreds of different Japanese restaurants and even worked in one of them for years, so I know what I am talking about. When I got my order I was surprised to see that my Tuna was white in color. Now if you know anything about sushi grade tuna, you know it is always red (raw of course..but you don't cook tuna for sushi/sashimi). So they obviously gave me something else. It tasted awful, both the fish and the rice (rice recipies are the backbone of sushi and are highly guarded secrets in Japan for this reason). So I started wondering with such bad food how can the place be so full when there are other, much better, sushi places around? The answer is simple, all you can eat menu. Given the cheap Whitby clientelle, this place is like a dream come true for them...even if they are served crap. I would rather spend $5-6 more and have some decent sushi. Howeve, if you are looking to fill your stomach for cheap then it is the place for you.

My parents and I went yesterday evening, and we did go somewhat late (at around 9 - they close at 10). Now, my parents also own a customer-service based business, and we believe that all customers should be valued and treated equally despite what hour they come in at.
At around 9:20, right after we placed our all you can eat order, the server came up to us and asked us if we wanted anything else because the kitchen will be closing. Personally, we felt very rushed, and consequently not order enough food to satisfy us.
However, we agreed to their terms, and ordered a bit more food. When we did get some of the orders, the fish was NOT FRESH AT ALL. The sashimi was cut in way too big pieces, and everything just tasted very hastily made.
Not only that, but all three of us has not eaten anything all day, we all woke up with stomach pains, and I personally, have a fever.
I doubt we'll be back there again.

My husband and I frequent Sushi Mountain in Whitby. The service is always friendly and the food delicious. The servers are becoming more knowledgable about gluten allergies, and are more than happy to accomidate my husband's food restrictions. My only suggestion is that the resturaunt should offer gluten free soya sauce, as we currently bring our own with us.
This restruaunt is tops in the Durham Region. - Order: Soup, seaweed salad, a variety of maki rolls, chicken and beef, ice cream.

The place is far from Mississauga (my house), but the foot is great, the service better, so, I do recommend this restaurant, I’ll certainly come back soon.

We've been going there at the very least, once a week for the last 5-6 months.... Friendly staff, excellent cuisine, I just can't rate them any higher...
We walk in there and the staff already knows our usual drinks :) They know my kids aged 7 and 13 well :)
Reservation is now a must.. .. I'm actually booking for 18 people tonight and hopefully they can accommodate..
If you haven't been there, find time to visit.. I'm sure you'll be back again and chances are, you'll see us there :)

This place is small, but the food and service are fantastic. My 3 and 4 year-old kids love it, the staff are super friendly. When we first started going, there weren't many people there - now, you need a reservation! Excellent and highly recommended!

I have been looking for a place to enjoy sushi for a very long time. I had given up. After a very good sushi place in TO closed several years ago, I had not enjoyed sushi in Ontario. We mostly had in in Montreal when we went down.
My co-worker suggested this place and I knew I was not going to like, in Whitby & all you can eat?? But, I had nothing to loose.
To my surprise, it was AWESOME!! The Taste, freshness, quick service, the price.
If I really had to pick on anything - the girls server can smile once in a while. But I'm happy, we still get fabulous food and serve around the corner from my house.
Thank you!!! Thank you!!! - Order: sea dragon spec rolls - spicy tuna, salmon, I can't remember it all.

I was nervous. Sushi outside of Toronto? But Nippon surprised me. Their approach to spicy salmon and spicy tuna was splendid. What was really refreshing was seeing ginger ice cream and vanilla ice cream in addition to the standard green tea variety. My wife and I enjoyed every morsel and the price point was incredible. Out the door with tip for under $30! We could barely walk.
The seating is tight and the place was hopping, so don't try to be romantic here.
I'm looking forward to a return feast. If it wasn't so late in the day as I write this review I'd head down there now. - Order: All you can eat buffet: Salmon roll, tuna roll, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, california roll, miso soup, ice cream
