Typical big box restaurant pimple headed teenager prepared food. Chicken was overcooked, pasta was mush.

The hostess who was 'supposed' to be at the hostess stand was not there for 5 minutes, although that was alright, because the restaurant was fairly busy. The service was unexceptionable, although, the manager who took over service was deviant.

My friend 'built his own pasta', and had Angel Hair with sausage in a blush sauce. It (according to him) was outstanding.

On the other hand my food wasn;t great. About 2 bites into the wrap I noticed a rather long pepper skin so I (thankfully) pulled it out and it looked like a normal pepper until I looked at the bottom half of it. My first thoughts were that the peppers were supposed to be grilled. Unfortunately, I was wrong, and it was extremely moldly. Luckily, I consumed none of the pepper. I waited until my friend has finsished eating his pasta, and then when the manager came to pick up our plates, she asked if I wasn't hungry, so I showed her the pepper, and she went back to have a quick chat with her kitchen, which I heard most of, and came back bearing no receipt for either of us and with a 20$ gift certificate for myself.

I have been to both Whitby East Side locations many times, and have had amazing food and service..

SO I definately recommend this place to others. It is amazing. Just a little mishap. It will probably be the last.

every thing was great best food i ahd in a while

Great food, great service, excellent light social atmosphere. Since we can remember, this East Side Mario's establishment has been a family favourite and we continue to visit it time and time again for birthdays, special occasions and simply when we're looking for a good time. Two thumbs up!
