Captain George's Fish & Chips

We ordered two big hunks of halibut on a mountain of fries. The coleslaw was a nice touch. The service, however, was phenomenal. Really super nice people.

I actually went to visit only to see a movie being shot at this location. The amazing greek salad was a bonus.

For $12 it was a quality dining experience. You can't even get this at McDonald's for $12 and this was 1000 times better tasting and healthier. I can't wait to go for dinner and try out the haddock. No one has haddock anymore. Halibut may be the most popular, but haddock has a much richer taste. One of the other diners also suggested it to me while I was waiting in line.

Everything's perfect

Owner is very strict on quality of the food. Preparation is perfect, not over or under cooked.
Generous proportions and the owner and staff are quite courteous and helpfull.
Sometimes, line-ups are out the door, but the orders are processed quickly so it is not a long wait.

I was visiting a friend in Port Perry and after a long drive from the Maritimes where one can not seem to be able to get Halibut fish and chips, my friend told me that this was the place
to go. We went, we ate, it was great. Going to be on my list of places to stop on future trips.

Not fancy, but good food, good portions, efficient, polite, friendly service. They have specials that go beyond the standard fish and chips.

A good place to stop for lunch or take-out.
