  • Good for a quick and easy lunch or a special night out.. I work in a nearby office and its always convenient for lunch, things are always fresh and speedy even though the restaurant is often full. The Pear and Chicken salad is a personal favorite. I've also been there a few times for special occasions, the dinning room is a great spot to entertain out of town guests. The prices are reasonable and varied, you can have a pretty nice meal for 30-60, but you can also have a relaxed meal for 20-30. I definitely recommend Wildcraft for anyone who gets the chance, one of the freshest places in town.. I'm really excited to see what they do with the new "Bauer Kitchen" going in downtown.

  • The food tastes amazing and is presented even better! The environment is quite classy and has a two story wine rack as the center of attention as you enter. The price range I set above is for a classier meal I had, however, can vary depending on whether you have steak and desert. All friends and family I have taken here have loved it. If you do go, I MUST recommend the baked white chocolate cheesecake for desert...you will not find anything like it anywhere else.

  • This was my second time going to Wildcraft. I really liked it before and had a chance to go again for lunch. It was really busy for a Wednesday lunch, but service was still timely and welcoming. Food came out quickly and was superb! I had the pear and plum salad with mushroom fusilli as my entree. I liked the pasta sauce so much I asked if they could give me the recipe, which they did!

Will definitely be going back to Wildcraft sometime soon.

  • My husband and I went to Wildcraft for our one year anniversary this evening.
I have to say it was the best dining experience of my life ( I am 30, lol). We were given complimentary champange to celebrate our anniversary. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful, we were sat by the fireplace, it was lovely.
Our apps, were delishious and came to us in a timely manner. My husband ordered the prime rib burger and still hasn't stopped talking about it, lol. I orded the walnut crusted chicken, it was so tender, I didn't even need a knife. The portion sizes are perfect. Dessert was so delicious, I can't want to go back and try it all. My husband enjoyed his cheescake lollipops while I devoured my warm peanut butter chocolate cake. MMM.
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Oh and even the bathrooms are stunning. really, stunning.
We cannot wait to go back.

  • I've gone many times to Wilfcraft, usually when no one feels like cooking, although I have no idea why. Nice resturant, crappy boring food. They should try fresh ingredients or many not putting so much effort into being fancy.

  • Ive only been to Wildcraft on special occasions (either for myself or someone close to me) and can count them all, every one of them being excellent. Its not a place that an average university student can afford but it is a step above The Keg and all alike.
Seeing as how it was winter when i went last, the first thing that was very pleasant is the coat service. The ladies at the door were nice and quick, helping us to our server and, very quickly, to the table. The next best thing you notice is the atmosphere. If you missed the massive glass-walled bottle cellar at the entrance, then you wont miss the fireplace, so nicely fitting in with the cosy warm atmosphere. Although i imagine it can get louder during lunch hours when the RIM management rolls around, it was very quite and tranquil at around 8pm on a weekday. The server, a pleasant middle-aged man, quickly took me through the wine menu offering deep insight and my girlfriend and I werent disappointed with the choice. The food came just as the first glass of red wine was coming to its delicious end. The appetizers were fresh, tasty, different, and yet very familiar. You will find many contemporary choices in the appetizers section amongst some of the more exquisite offerings. Nonetheless, all of them are worth a try. We were very satisfied with the salad (proper sized everything, sauce just right, vegetables fresh) and the seafood (this one can be dangerous in certain places but here it was cooked up to near perfection)
The main course consisted of a AAA New York peppercorn steak with creamy mushroom sauce and some herbs, chips on the side and a variety of additional sauces. I was pleased to find out that the steak was cooked to medium, just as asked, and the pepper was a perfect accent to the grilled dish. The creamy mushroom sauce was great and not too heavy and the fries kept pace.
We opted out of the dessert and instead finished the bottle of wine, and enjoyed some very well mixed caesars.
All in all, you get what you pay for - a perfect meal in a perfect setting. To some out there i can imagine this place is a routine but having fed on pizza and subs all year it can be very encouraging to know that there are still places out there and i might just be the one coming here for lunch on a daily bases in the near future. :)
Oh and when i returned there for my private birthday celebration (just me and one other lucky person), i was pleased to see that all of my parents' requests were fulfilled and i was surprised with a pre-paid dinner and a specially crafted desert.
This is a place that wants a returning customer.

  • Order: Shrimp and salad as entrees, peppercorn steak (120z), 750ml wine, caesar.

  • I've been hearing a lot of buzz about Wildcraft for a while, but I never got the opportunity to try it out. My friends finally dragged me out to it and I was a little skeptical about it at first because of some of the reviews I'd seen. That made it even better when I finally experienced it!
Service was fast and friendly, got us our drinks quickly and had a real professional feel. Didn't take long for our apps to come out, I had the Mediterranean Chicken Flatbread and it was delicious, everyone else had good things to say. We all ordered steaks for our entrees which were delicious, the Yukon fries that come with are to DIE for with the chipotle aioli.
After all that we didn’t want much for dessert, our waitress suggested their lollipops.. They come in many flavours (I had skor) and are filled with cheesecake, perfect for a small and easy dessert.

Don’t pass this place up!! We had a great meal, will definitely be going back

  • What a great surprise!
I had read the reviews on this site, and when my customer wanted to take us here, I was a little put off...wondering why would they take me to a crappy place!
Well crappy it was not! I am so glad I came here.
Service was amazing - they kept up with the wine, cocktails and food.
Food for 10 people - 9 came out together the 10th did take just a few minutes more, but we did not find it an issue.
A colleague and I asked to split the 14oz Ribeye, which they gladly did and it was excellent!
Appetizers were great too...Flatbreads, escargot with chipotle (YUMMY), Scallops, Shrimps...then the entrees - too many to mention, but everyone at the table was happy.

  • Order: escargot, ribeye, black and blue, pasta, alaskan cod

  • What a disappointing meal.

The food consistency obviously went out the window when it got busy. My lamb was cooked to a medium-well when I asked for it rare. The caesar salad was also missing parmesan cheese.

The service was alright. Our server was slow, but was friendly and polite. She forgot to bring condiments for the W Burger and a steak knife for the lamb, however.

The thing that always brings us back is the amazing atmosphere. Sitting in the W bar is a casual, trendy experience.

  • Order: caesar salad, scallops; W burger, rack of lamb

  • For the price, I would expect better taste. Friends took me to this restaurant for my birthday. Service was nice and they also have a good selection of wine. For dinner I had roasted chicken. Portions are smaller than usual (no bang for your buck here) and my chicken was dry and lacked flavour. I couldn't complain because my friends covered the meal. Overall I was disappointed with the food and I'd rather go to a smaller mom and pop kind of restaurant instead.

  • Order: Roasted chicken
