The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

First we were given a basket of bread while we waiting for our meals, and were surprised to see 2 small pieces that barely covered the bottom and kind of defeated the purpose of even bringing it over.

The soup and mushroom appetizers were okay, but not worth the price. The waitress didn't offer the specials, and was short, to the point and could care less about anything.

The fish and chips was a joke. I mean, we were actually laughing at the plate of a smaller-than-child's portion of fries, and 2 pieces of over battered empty in the middle "fish" that was sitting in a large pool of oil. Taste was average at best.

That's the last time I'll give the Keg a try.

I took my family out for dinner tonight. After the waitress spilt FOUR drinks all over us, completely soaking us, she brought us fresh drinks and told us to pick a new table. She was obviously upset, but we were good natured and told her it happens to everyone.

Did we see the manager? NO.

Did they so much as serve us a round on the house? NO.

We were soaked. My son's black berry soaked. Pants, shirts, shorts and purses, soaked.

What a terrible experience!

Food were decent and nicely laid out, sirloin were medium rare and tasty

Server was average and didn't refill our water or brought new table cloth when we requested them

Atmosphere was typical, it was quite noisy with another birthday table around, but we did get seated at a big comfy table which was nice

Total was $72 for 3 of us

Great food and services, exactly what i need after a very busy school week. Will visit again, very everything came out on time and was done properly. All three of us enjoyed the evening, great place and realistically not that expensive for the quality of food.

We went there since everyone says that the Keg is the best in Waterloo. Still not quite sure about it yet!!??

The sweet hot calamari was really good. Love it!! Scallop with bacon was O.K. nothing special at all. The main course was somewhat cold when they served and steak looks very small & dry.

prompt seating. server was right over and the entire lunch was perfect. no time wasted waiting for the bill. the keg lemonade was great.

Not a busy night for a Sat. How can they get Steak wrong?? All 3 steaks not done the way they were ordered. My NY was very small and actually looked like a sirloin and not NY and overcooked. Teriaki steak was burnt and the 3rd steak overdone as well. Not sure how the keg stays in business?? I will NEVER GO BACK> GO TO Wildcraft on King if you want it done right! Or Charcoal I have been many times and overall it is much better!!

It was our 26th Wedding Anniversary and our children treated us to dinner.
They had made reservations for 7:00 and our table was ready a little early when we arrived. The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed thier meals and the steaks were done as requested. The waitress was great. (unfortunetly I didn't get her name). We have eaten at the Keg several times and have never been disappointed. Excellent food and service.

P.S. I estimated on the $ of the bill since our children treated us.
