I enjoy going to the Flying Dog for dinner. The food is great especially the pasta. They have a mix of fancy food and bar food, there is something for everyone. The calamari was delicious especially with the spicy raspberry sauce. Im amazed the place isnt busier.
I recently had a October special, 8oz new york strip with mash potatoes and brocholi for $10.95. The mash potatoes were awesome, smooth and creamy made with real cream and butter.
Both steaks were cooked pefectly and came beautifully presented. My only peve is that it is a little dark for my tastes, but thats part of the atmosphere there. - Order: Calamari/Oct Special/Bruchetta/Oct Special

The salsa dancing was fine. People there were rather old. The place is a bit small and stuffy for dancing.
The bar was horrible. You need to wait FOREVER before the bartender even looks at you. And this is not because it is busy, because they enjoy chatting amungst themselves, and doddling around.
The food service was crappy. I understand that it wasn't quite a typical dinner service, but I had to go up to the kitchen to order, and when the food came up, I had to go over to get it. I had to ask for utensils from the cook. They didn't give my any napkins. And when I was done, the bussers picking up glasses refused to take my plate, so I had to take my plate back to the kitchen MYSELF. What did I even tip for????
The souffle was average. It was heavy rather than fluffy. The outside layer tasted like betty crocker cake mix. In general, it was quite good. But I felt I would have been just as satisfied with a regular piece of chocolate cake.

2 months since my last visit, have been eager to return on Wed night to taste some more cheap-and-good pasta
They did not disappoint. We went for late dinner near 9 pm, we even got 2 waitresses for our table ;)
Both were very friendly, kind, and served us promptly. Same excellent atmosphere as well, maybe music was a bit loudTheir bread was really good, I loved the raisin ones, and they gave me more, good!
Pasta were different tha your usual franchise pastas, so I liked that, the chicken/arugula was a strange mix for light flavour pasta, but it is unique!
Pad Thai was good in taste and portion, a tad spicy for me. It has more chicken/stuffing than actual pasta, you don't see that often
Louisiana had lots of scallops and shrimps in them, mild spicy, on par with Lucy's seafood pasta
We tipped handsomely at 20% after tax, they deserved it. Now they suck me into returning for another time, to try their steak/regular menu item

dinner date catching up with friend, and happened to visit on Wednesday where pastas are half-priced.
Took advantage of it and ordered 2 appetizers portions, while my friend ordered pad thai. The portions were big so we both took leftover home
Atmosphere was great, I loved the settings/decoration and the server was kind and friendly. I'd definitely become a regular now
- Order: half-price Wednesday pastas, PEPPER STEAK FUSILLI $6, THAI CHICKEN FETTUCCINE ALFREDO $6, FLYING DOG PAD THAI entree $8

We read on this site about the 25 menu from other people's reviews and decided to go for dinner. Well it was definatly worth it. The food was great. We had Ribs with an oriental salad, a sweet and sour soup with mushrooms, coconut curry fish dish, a asian pork herb rubbed medallion and a strudel pinwheel of some sort. The best thing of the night was that the chef, I think his name was Jason, came out to our table to see how everything was. Very Nice Indeed.

We went for the pasta night. It was very nice. The gargoyles look cool and it looks like a great place to go on a saturday night. The patio where you go to smoke has a beautiful view.

The food was, for the price of it, outstanding. We had three courses with three choices on each course.
The stuffed chicken was cooked perfect and the sole was so delicate and tender with the most wonderful glaze on it ( a honey pommery dijon & curry glaze ) I recommend the flying dog to anyone who wants a great priced wonderful meal. - Order: Had the 25 menu and it is definatly worth every penny.
