  • My Boyfriend and I went on a double date with another couple. They chose this restaurant since they have been there before. This was my first time there. The atmosphere is wonderful and I really enjoyed the service. The bread they bring to your table with oil and a sun dried tomato puree is delicious. I didn’t get an appetizer since there was nothing I was interested in. I ordered the Tilapia dinner since most of the items on the menu I have never heard before. When we received the entrée’s, I was surprised with the size of the fillet. I found it very thin and almost flavorless. I didn’t taste any crab and just a hint of anchovies. I didn’t feel that my dish was worth $21. Although my company did get the steak dinner with baked potatoes and those entrée’s looked a lot better than mine. We received a $15 off coupon for the next time which is encouraging to go back. I will try the steak next time or just enjoy the music with a glass of wine.

  • GREAT!!! I left feeling full which for some upscale restraunts is not possible. My steak was excellent quality and the appetizer I had was excellent. I would strongly suggest to anyone to try the risto balls(sorry can't remember the proper name). I also was impressed with the service we recieved and my only complaint was the music for me was a little loud but the rest of my group loved it.

  • This is a completely dated and tacky looking restaurant. If you want similar food and a better atmosphere go to Wildcraft down the street.
We came on a fairly busy Saturday, though this is one of few Waterloo restaurants where you can show up without a reservation on a weekend. The food was ok but you can always taste copious amounts of butter and cream. Our server was attentive and friendly. The live music is good. However I find it bizarre to be chased out into the parking lot so that the manager can ask me if I enjoyed everything? Most would visit your table throughout the evening, not stalk you to your car. I've been here a few times before, and I don't know why I come back. I think this was my last visit.

  • My party and I made a reservation for 6 to 8 people. When we arrived our table was ready for us, even though it was a very busy night. The service was quick and attentive. We were brought water soon after seating. I like the restaurant had a wine they were featuring. I can not recall the name of the wine but it allowed our table to try a wine we wouldn't normally choose.
The menu was extensive and took some time to get through, however there was a good amount of choice. We ordered a round of appetizers that the table shared. One of the only suggestions I have for the restaurant is to possibly get larger tables or smaller plates. We had a difficult time fitting everything on the table because there were appetizer plates and smaller bread plates as well.
We did not wait a very long time for our entrees. It was nice to sit and enjoy the live music. The pianist was incredible and had a large song repertoire. My father approached him to request a song which he happily played for us. No sheet music! During one of his breaks he even came up to the table to talk to us.
The food was amazing. I have eaten at this restaurant in the past and was excited to see there was a new menu. I think it is important for restaurants to continually update their menu to stay competitive. Often at steak houses you get fairly generic dishes, however I was pleased to see they had gnocchi on the menu. I had come to order a steak but there were so many interesting dishes I ended up ordering something else. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. We got to the point where we were trying a little bit of everyone's because there was such a wide variety ordered. Thumbs up!
The service was also outstanding. We were seated quickly and as I said our table was ready even though the restaurant was full. I can not recall the name of our server, however she had distinctive blond and pink hair. Our water was filled many times. I was impressed that we never had to pour our own wine either. They also have a great loyalty program where you receive $15 off. We received a coupon for every member of our party to come back to use. On the way out we were seen out the door and asked how our evening was. Very personable. Highly recommended!

  • Order: Risoto balls, goat cheese, calamari, steaks, gnocchi, can not recall what the rest of my party ordered

  • I'm not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but me and my wife enjoyed a very relaxed evening on saturday night. The piano player was superb, and the service by Sarah (i think her name was? long blond hair..) was immaculate, very friendly and attentive to our table. The sirloin/crab dish was made to perfection and the price was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a great meal with great service.

  • Order: Shrimp pernod, lobster/sirloin, red wine, apple dessert.

  • Well, I am not sure what these other reviews are speaking about? Our food and service was outstanding! The most appealing appetizer I have had in a long time, a Live Jazz duo and the best steak I have had in years. The server, Jessica, was friendly and attentive. The restaurant, in our opinion was excellent!

  • I was very disappointed in most of the evening. As we went there for a nice quiet evening we discovered that the piano music was very loud to the point we could not hear each other. The steak was 'burnt' on the outside and raw in the middle, and this place is way over priced. Would we go back No
