Kelsey's Restaurant

My significant other and I have been to this location multiple times. We are consistently disappointed, and after our last venture, will never return.
The server didn't seem to realize we were there until ten minutes into us sitting at the booth. She came over and said 'Well I guess you're ready to order.' No introduction, no apologizing for the long wait, nothing.
Our food came out cold, I asked for shrimp and received chicken instead, and the portion sizes were dismal for the price point.
We only go to the Kelsey's on Fairway in Kitchener now. They are 100% better in food quality, bigger portions and better service!!

To me, this place is a classic restaurant that I am always in the mood for. The have a wide range of amazing foods. Some of my favourites are the peppercorn ranch burger and the teased beef sandwhich on panini bun. Kelsey's displays a casual bar and grill environment with some interior walls displayed as brick with pictures all throughout and iron cast wine racks on some walls. Very busy as it nears the weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights, waits can get long, so I suggest making reservations for larger parties on weekend nights. This is a restaurant suited for any occasion; a date, family, friends, get together, etc.

I use to only go to Kelsey's because they had the best darn quesadilla’s around! They were so crunchy and had some kind of spice on them, I loved them. I went back to Kelsey's in the beginning of the summer to find out that they changed their menu a bit. The quesadilla’s were not even close to good. They ruined a good thing, quiet disappointed. I told the server I only came for those and I won't be back to eat them ever again, I felt like I was eating Taco Bell.

We normally have a decent time at Kelsey's. I get the spinach dip, my boyfriend gets either a sandwich or the all-you-can-eat wings and we're satisfied for a reasonable price.

This time I was craving meat so I ordered a steak. My "medium" 11-oz steak came out as a 7-oz piece of meat (1/4 of which was fat and gristle) that I could almost turn out to graze, it was that rare. After ten minutes of trying to flag someone down I finally gave in and ate it, along with the half-dozen pieces of vegetables and half-cup of mashed potatoes that constituted the "side". For a $20 meal, I was left feeling like I'd barely eaten.

From now on, I'll stick to my spinach dip. Kelsey's is fine for quick and easy things, but don't expect anything special and try to avoid things that actually require specific cooking skills!

The service was friendly from the hostess to the waitress. The waitress knew what she was doing, she was quick and professional. The food didn't match the service though as there were unusual objects in my gravy (looked like baked beans) the buns for our sandwiches were over toasted and way too crumbly, and there was one very tired noodle soup that probably had peaked the day before. Didn't feel like our money was well spent for the quality we got, but we might try it again....

Our Waiter was training a new employee, both which were so friendly and funny. The woman who was training came by on occasion to ask how everything was. Never did my boyfriend or i have to wait very long at all for a refill. The food was very yummy, The ribs were impressive, my boyfriend never needs a doggy bag but when he saw the size of the ribs he knew he met his match. After having such a bad night at Crabby Joe's a few nights before i was so happy to have a great meal and a fair price. I have never had a bad meal there and i will totally go again

Wonderful evening. Celebrated sister's birthday, Jeff was our waiter. He was fantasic, friendly and attentive. Even though it was a very busy night, he was always there with refills and clearing empty plates. Food was delicious and fast delivered. Absolutely no complaints. Everyone loved their meals and had a great time.

The steak I ordered was one of the worst I have ever had. I ordered medium rare and it came out gray and bloody on the inside.

The waitress was distracted by a large table and forgot to provide cutlery and complained about how tired she was etc.

Overall, it was a disappointing dinner and I probably will not return.

The food was ok although a bit messy. Our waitress forgot to give us any cutlery and we had try to flag her down (no easy task) to get us some. When the waitress did come to our table she kept on compaining about how tired she was, how busy she had been (both at work and Christmas shopping), etc.

I'm giving this Kelsey's a 10 because of Cara, the manager, who gave us 20% off because we offered to give our table to someone else and sit at the bar. What a sweetheart, we were so pleased. Anyway, fish and chips were good; slaw was Shopsy-style; steak sandwich was good; gravy looked pre-fab; visiting from Niagara Falls we'd certainly come again next time we visit St. Jacobs. It's a very nice clean restaurant and very efficient staff keep it running smoothly from what we could see.
