  • Went for MIL's Bday and she is tough to impress and yet she was. She often doesn't finish her meal and ate the whole lugini and even ordered cheesecake as well! Husband had pizza and hurt himself eating it all (to be fair he also had 3 pieces of bread). My kids both had children's pizza which was a great price ($7 for pizza and drink and ice cream!). I had gnoccis and it was wonderful! I also had the most decadent chocolate cake afterwards that I didn't mind sharing with the kids as it was too much (and I am not a light eater). So rich I wish I had ordered milk!

  • Order: salad, liguini, gnocci, bambino pizza, pepperoni pizza for the kids

  • Myself, my sister, her boyfriend and my mother all went out this evening to the fairview road location Ennio's for my mothers birthday and i was pleasantly suprised how good of an experience i had due to some of the negative reviews i have read about Ennio's lately.

The service was great, the waitress was friendly, funny, and knowledgable of the menu. It arrived in a timely fasion. The atmosphere was pleasant, it was clean and smelled good. It was dimmly lit with candles on the table but not too dark to make it a romantic destination only. (Though it would be a great place to take your signifigant other.) They played some authentic italian music softly in the backround as well which gave a nice Italian feeling to the atmosphere as well. The restaurant itself was kind of small compaired to other chain restaurants but i felt it gave a more authentic Italian homey feel to the experience.

As for the food, it was excellent! For the quality i was suprised at the good value. Relatively cheap prices and great portion sizes. I started off with the Venecian scallop appitizer. It was delicious and the scallops were cooked to perfection. For my main i had the Burnt butter Gnocchi. Don't let the name fool you, this is not a burnt butter sauce, its browned butter. (i don't know why they called it burnt calling it that kinda turns me off it because burnt butter is disgusting.) But i ordered it anyways because of a previous positive review i read that highly recommended it. It was the best Gnocchi i have ever had! I also highly recommend this main if you like butter. (probably not the best for dieter's but it was worth an extra few miles on the treadmill!!) My sister got the Spicy sausage gnocchi (we actually split our 2 types 50/50 so we could try both types) It was also delicious though not as good as the burnt butter version. My mother ordered the chicken tetrazinni. It was great, much better then the east side marios version, the chicken was moist and tender, (unlike east side marios dry chicken) and the sauce was also made well. My sisters boyfriend got the pesto penne, It was very good. I love pesto! I got to eat the rest of his due to him not being hungry and me being very hungry from a long day at work. haha! Bread is also complimentary and it comes with oilve oil with pesto in it which was awesome! I love to dip my bread in oilve oil when i eat just plain bread and the pesto in it just made it that much more great.

I'd would definately recommend this restaurant to any italian food lover. I will definately be back to this location soon. (I'm not sure about the other locations quality and consistancy so don't shoot the messenger if they are not as good as the Fairview road location!)There was so much on the menu that you just cant find anywhere else that i wanted to try! (damn my limited stomache capacity) LOL!

4.5/5 stars! (Great place for special family occasions, dates, buissness meetings, or when you are just craving some delicious Italian eats.)

  • Order: Venecian scallops, Burnt butter gnocchi, Pesto Penne, Chicken Tetrazinni, Spicy Sausage Gnocchi.

  • When I first came to Ennio's in my first-second year of university, it was amazing. Service fast, food fresh, and presented in a timely manner - not too fast and not too slow.

However, since going back a few times in the past year, the service and food have seemed to take a turn for the worst. Sometimes I even feel like I am getting the 'student deal'. My pasta, which I have the same of every time I'm there, seems watered down and chicken not so cooked.

Last time I was there the entree came out very quickly after the salad and before the bread. It was overwhelming to have our table full of everything.

The atmosphere has remained the same over the years: very loud. If you're looking for a quiet Italian place, this is not it. This is definitely geared toward families. (It's a student town, so what can you expect!)

  • Order: Annabella, tertrazzini, salads, red wine.

If you don't enjoy the loud atmosphere try going to a different location not near the colleges and universities. There are 3. I recommend the Fairview Road location personally the food, service and atmosphere was amazing there.

  • We had our valentine's date here after coming for a company Christmas party. Very busy but having booked a reservation we knew there would be a seat for us. Salads were fresh and crisp, entries arrived before we had the opportunity to finish our salads. Bruschetta was great, bread was very fresh. Service by the waitress was excellent. They had ran out of beer for my wife and gave us a complimentary one of a different brand. Thank you for a great experience!

  • Order: Stella, Bruschetta, Casear Salad, House Salad, can't remember the entries

  • My gf and I were looking for a nice pasta resturant to eat at. Since we usually go to east sides we decided to try a different location.

We saw that this place was italian and decided to give it a try. VERY BAD MISTAKE.

We sat down and took the waitress about 15 minutes to take our drink order and return with them. When we sat down there was my gf and i and another couple a few tables down from us in the whole resturant.

ANother couple walks in and instead of giving them a table appart from the other 2 groups she decides to sit them right next to us. as there are approx 35-40 other tables that arent less then 5 feet away from us, taking away total privacy from our conversation.

We order our food and didnt take long to prepair, we first got salads but they tasted like they were prepaired awhile before we even placed the order because the salad felt soggy from the ceaser dressing. Our dinner arrived and i got halfway through my chicken parmesan when i felt very ill. I suddenly got very sick to my stomach and was on the edge of puking.

The whole place was a large disappointment and there were at least 4-6 staff all standing around the bar chit chatting not even caring about anyone in the resturant.

never again will we go back!

  • Order: chicken parmesan, cheese capoletti, salad

Its impossible to get food poisoning from chicken in mere minutes. Try washing your hands before you eat.

  • We have been to Ennios before and enjoyed the food, so we thought, hey, lets go back. We got there and were greeted kind of abruptly, but it was later in the evening and maybe they'd had a bad day. We then sat at our table for 10+ minutes before the waitress, who was standing at the bar chatting, came to take a drink order. another 5 minutes later she returned with the 2 pops we'd ordered, forgetting the water. That was the last drink we managed to get through the whole meal, despite asking twice.
We ordered food that sounded delicious, me the peppercorn steak pasta, my girlfriend the Chicken Marsala. My food came out and looked and smelled amazing, but was so heavily salted it was almost inedible. My girlfriends food was good, but not very hot. We would have happily spoken to the waitress, but she never once came by after dropping the food off. So we both soldiered through our food, me getting more and more thirsty but without a drink.
At the end of the meal we couldn't get a word in with our waitress, so we talked to the nice lady at the front desk. Nothing was offered to correct the problems, but we at least let them know in hopes they'd improve.

Ennios seems like a place that used to be fantastic and a great place, but it's slipped and they've lost their passion for making great food. I want to believe that it can get better, but it wouldn't surprise me if it closed. The staff seemed half asleep, the food poor, the place empty. It's too bad, because so many people have so much good to say about it.

  • Order: peppercorn steak pasta, chicken marsala

  • We were disappointed. The sauces tasted canned. The rolls were refrigerator cold. No drink refills arrived until we were leaving. The ceasar dressing was in globs and tasted like it was from a jar. The dining room was overly dark and dull decor. We're Italian, so maybe we expected too much... like food at least as good as what we could get at home. This place was such a disappointment.

  • Order: ceasar salad, calamari, pasta

  • If you’re a pasta lover, you will defiantly want to visit the place. It’s clean, fresh, authentic and delicious! And the price is right. (The menu is mostly pasta so don’t invite people that don’t share your same passion for pasta.)
