I went here with my friends, and it was the most wonderful I've ever tasted. It was my first time trying out Indian food, and it was a great experience with Classic Indian! The service was great too, and our waiter was very helpful and patient with us in what we wanted to order. The music, ambience and atmosphere was so comforting, better than any restaurant I've been in before. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for casual, family dining!

This is the perfect little family resteraunt. I have never tired the buffet but teh food off the menu is the best food i have ever tested. I drive all the way from hamilton every weekend to eat here. The tikki-masala is perfect. The food is quick and after the second time we went they had our orders memorized and began cooking as soon as we were seated. Love the mini samosas...the vindaloo is also very delicious.

I live in Mississauga and work in Waterloo.
I have visited many Indian places in GTA and love Indian food. The Indian buffets at ‘The HOST’ and ‘The Brars’ are great and around $10-$12 (and you can choose from 20-30 fine dining dishes!) so I decided to check out this Waterloo location as I work nearby and the reviews on this website were good so I was expecting a similar quality given that they charge $10 per person – similar to GTA fine dining buffets.
At lunch time they had buffet and food was tasteless. There were only 5 dishes, definitely poor quality - compared to The HOST or The Brars in Mississauga. In addition to that they ran out of Naan bread and it took them 15 minutes to bring more bread - too late and too slow.
I personally cannot recommend this to anyone… - Order: all the buffet items

Before I ate at Classic I thought I didn't like Indian food.
This place was recommended to me by a friend as the best restaurant in Waterloo, so I decided to be optimistic and give it a try.
The exterior is humble, doesn't look like much and it's a very small place.
However, there was absolutely nothing about the meal I would change. Everything was delicious, and now I can say with enthusiasm that I like Indian food. - Order: Mini samosas, shrimp khorma, 'better' chicken, coriander rice, naan bread

Recommended by friend to try it out, it's a cozy family Indian restaurant, not much decoration but I felt the effort was there.
Good Indian food selection, not something one usually can cook at home, not too spicy either. Ice Cream is very very weird
Services/Staff were very nice and attentive
Compared to Raja Indian in Stratford, this is more suitable for frugal/family Indian dining - Order: Dinner Buffet

I usually go out for dinner twice a month and have done so for many years. There are only a few places that I would return to again and again. This place is my favorite and by far the best restaurant that I have been to in many years.
The restaurant is small, so it is usually busy but the staff are attentive and the food is always hot. You can see the kitchen and watch them cooking as you eat.
This is a great place and if you enjoy Indian food this the best of the best!
- Order: Had the dinner buffet which is different each friday. There are many dishes to choose from including soups and breads.
