Benny's Family Restaurant & Lounge

Me and my friend went to eat on a Sunday morning. I ordered corned beef and eggs and my eggs were cold and I asked the waitress to get me new eggs so she took my eggs and pt them in the microvave and gave me the same eggs that i had taken a bite out of so thats how i could tell she gave me the same eggs. Obviously now my eggs were over hard and i wanted over easy so icould dip my eggs. My parents own a restaurant and if this were to ever happen at our restaurant we'd make fresh eggs for the person. When i told the waitress this was wrong she was very angry and said well u told me to warm them up. Her service was horrible and she didnt deserve a dime for tip. By her warming up my eggs and giving me attitude makes me never want to go back there.

My friend and I went here for breakfast. My food (basic breakfast deal) was pretty average, my friend said her french toast was the best she'd eaten out in a long time. The place wasn't crowded and service was attentive. I'd go again, but probably choose a different menu item.

I ordered the house special seafood and pasta, i got 3 tiny mussels, 2 medium shrimp and 2 marble size scallops over a bed of cut garden hose (pasta) for $15.95. The worst food and service I have had yet, could'nt get a napkin to save my life. I was a regular customer but the food and service has been getting worse with every visit. I'm done!

blew my mind. literally unreal. absolutely way better than mels, which is pure trash. what are you thinking cam?

I am done with this place.. The service was very poor. Delivered the main course while not finished with the salads. We both ordered the roast beef dinner... I eat two mouthfuls and then asked the waitress if the piles of gravy was from a can. She said no. It was so thick so much and tasted rotten. I said I would take my dinner home for my dog and then we left...

Much improved... I had stopped going to this place as I found the service, food and atmosphere very poor, however new owners can and do make a difference.
If you have not been there for a few months, give it another try. You will be pleasantly surprised.
They have cleaned up the place, improved the service and the food is definitely better.

We used to be breakfast regulars (Saturday mornings). Breakfast meals have got hit & miss but main issue is lousy service. Cleanliness is a getting little 'iffy'. Thought we'd try take out dinner - miss the lousy service. Well, they got us again. Order was incomplete. Of course we only found out when we opened it at home. We innmediately called and their only answer was (a) they would 'tell the kitchen for next time' and (b) if we wanted the rest of the order we could drive back and get it (10 minute drive each way, so I guess we can just eat the rest of the meal cold...). No offer of refund, rebate on the next one etc. Tone was basically 'why are you even calling me on this'. Spoke to manager. We finally get it: these folks couldn't care less about the customer. They'll take your money and if you dont come back, so what. Needless to say we wont go back.

I was a regular (3-4 times a week) customer however the past several visits were very disappointing. I have filled out 2 comments cards with my name address and phone # however have never received any feedback. The service is very poor and the 'place' is very dirty and getting rundown and apparently they just don't care.
so now I have decided not to return

A great place to go if you don't care about particularly good food. Bring a hangover and it'll be fantastic. Oh, and who the heck uses miracle whip instead of mayonnaise? Poor.
