The Friendly Thai

i've been to this place several times. It is a small restaurant with many delicious verities of food. Especially curry phadthai, spicy beef fried rice, oodles chicken noodles and beef in oyster.
Great restaurant with dilicious food.. I forgot to mention their crispy beef, The best in town.

Thai Iced Tea- Brewed Tetley with condensed milk. Served lukewarm (the ice that was added had melted before I took my first sip). Why bother, I could make it at home.

Coconut Rice- Sickly sweet- more of a dessert than a side, full of large slices of lemongrass (which are entirely inedible, and didn't really provide much in the way of flavour, so what is the point of leaving them in?)

Beef Salad- The worst "Thai" meal I have ever eaten. Warm-ish stir fried beef in a sticky, sweet sauce, served over a salad of shredded lettuce, red pepper, tomatoes (what?) cucumber and onion. A dried out slice of orange and a lime wedge on the side.

No shallots? No mint? No roasted rice? (all of which were promised on the menu).

Frankly, I don't believe the chef has any idea what this dish is even supposed to look like, let alone taste like.

Just appalling. They may be able to pull off a decent curry, but I doubt it would be worth a return trip.

Amazing food. Service is hit or miss, depending on who is serving. Amazing food. Sooo good.

food is delicious with friendly staffs especially best springrolls in town .

We ordered food to be delivered and it took over an hour and one half for the food to arrive. The restaurant gave us a free dish for our next order; only after we called two times. Too long to wait, especially when you're hungry.

I have ordered taken out a couples times and eaten in their restaurent. Never dissappointed nor my friends.
Always recommend this place as it never lets you down.

Only thing that isnt great is if you eat in their restaurant, sitting in the tall chairs can be tight for space when manouvering between other peoples tables, best to sit in the leather booths. Otherwise, nice atmospere.

veg oddles had alot of veg, which is great. Best chicken fried rice in town. put soya sauce on this dish and your laughing. I have one question, how many calories are in these dishes. Their website does not state this information anywhere...huh?!?!? Great restaurant with delivery.

I think everything in the restaurant is top notch from the service to the food. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and I often order out from there for lunch during the week. I would definitly recommend this restaurant.

Been to this place a few times, and they always have great food and very welcoming staff. Sometimes they get really busy, so the service suffers slightly, but otherwise an excellent restaurant.
