The food here was not great. The atmosphere was great. If you are going for a date and want a nice looking restaurant then I would recommed this place but overall the food was nothing impressive. If you want great sushi then I recommed Daily Sushi on Yonge/College. Looks like a hole from outside but the sushi makes up for it!

Despite the fancy website, the restaurant itself isn't all that nice from the inside or outside. The waiter kept confusing our order and when our food came, none of us were impressed with the taste and quality. My friend's sashimi was cut up in thick slices and had a weird taste to it (didn't seem fresh). Definitely will not be returning.

I'm no connoisseur of sushi or Japanese food, but I have had it a few times elsewhere in Toronto, this is certainly the best experience each time I go. The restaurant itself is clean and nice, the food is good and the service is quick. (Not always friendly, but quick) I usually order pretty generic stuff- california roll, bento box, veg. tempura, etc. Cant beat this place, IMO.
- Order: Vegetarian Bento Box
- at least they're open on Sat's for lunch!

The sushi wasn't spectacular or original. It wasn't bad either though. It was the only sushi place open near city hall on a Saturday for lunch so I give them some credit for that one.
Service was decent but they sort of forgot us at the end and the bill took awhile to get.
- Order: a sushi boat, some other fancy rolls

Been here many times over the past 10 years.
The sushi is usually consistent. The portions can be skimpy - especially in the maki rolls.
The service is okay - unless there is a huge line up of people waiting for take-out. Then you can wait a long while for your food.
I only had one bad experience here - about 5 years ago when my friend found a staple in her rice. Yes, a metal staple. She showed it the server, who apologized and took it away. That was it.
You can get lots of privacy with the booths and there is great people-watching if you get a table by the front window.

The food and service was perfect. Considering the great price and the quality of the food I would consider Sushi Queen a must for repeat. I recomend this place in a big way!

I've gone here a few times before with my girlfriend and it was fine. However, this time the service was horrible, they had 2-3 waitresses on duty with NO command of English, and they continually ignored us when we tried to flag them down for the check.
- Order: Vegetable box, shrimp tempura
