Visited for winterlicious, good place if you're going during the summerlicious or winterlicious festivals. The food was presented well, and tasted ok, but it was nothing amazing. The steak was quite small, and some of the dishes were fairly simple.
The best thing about the restaurant was the shrimp bisque. It was probably the most tender shrimp I've ever tasted.
- Order: 3x shrimp bisque,salad w/ cured meats, 2x flat iron steak, 2x spaghettini w/ chorizo sausage, 3x creme brulee,warm apple gallete
- Decent

We were seated very close to the bar and it was somewhat noisy, as the bar was filled with MBA-type Bay streeters out for drinks after work- lots of suits with ugly/no ties, bad pocket squares and square toed black loafers, or, patterned white dress shirts untucked with jeans and the sleeves rolled
The beef was very good and got it cooked within an acceptable range of how we ordered it. The restaurant itself looks very nice inside and the seating was comfortable. The restaurant itself is very nice to look at and the bad was actually pretty good and played a decent mix.
The service was OK at times and bad at others. We waited about 15 minutes for our server to come to the table for drink orders. He took drink and dinner orders together the first time he came. I don't think they even do this at Boston Pizza, let alone a place that I'm paying $50 a steak for. Either way, the food took a long time to come. The greens salad came with a "citrus" dressing that I was told by my fiancee was merely oil. The green came wrapped in shaved cucumber with pretense to spare, I'm sure it would have been perfect for those at the bar.
We didn't stay for desert as we had a film to catch.
Near the washroom are all kinda of pictures of celebrities that I'm assuming have visited the restaurant or something else owned by Liberty. Many of them featured the CEO of Liberty as if we cared to see him posing with celebrities, as I said earlier, this place had pretense oozing from every orifice.
Overall the food was good, but I could have done without all the theatrics and a bit better service. I still can't get over that he took drink orders with the food orders together.
- Order: 2x Beef tenderloin, 1x greens salad, 2x glass of wine
- For the price, you can get far better in Toronto

I did summerlicious there. Normally, the price is quite a bit higher.
My drink was delicious; the berry juice, though, had a strong taste of alcohol - since we're not drinkers, this was slightly offputting.
The duck confit was delicious. The cucumber soup - okay, but they only put in one sliver of the promised smoked salmon, and the mountain of creme fraiche overwhelmed the delicate soup. The salmon was beautifully done (other than one raw gnocchi - strange); the roast chicken was lukewarm, dry, and tough.
I wasn't so impressed with dessert. We waited, and waited, and waited, and the waiter finally brought it just as my SO left for the washroom. The ice cream was half-melted already, so my poor SO had a pool of melty cream rather than ice cream when he returned.
Service was decent, though it vacillated from near-constant attention to waiting for service at the end. The restaurant is beautiful - plenty of marble and columns that appear original to the restaurant.
- Order: Cucumber soup, duck confit, roast chicken, seared salmon, berry crumble, chocolate cake, mango juice, berry juice
- Risotto was pretty decent, but as a main course...

Risotto was pretty decent, but as a main course, it might be a bit too little. The desert was a bit expensive at $10. Probably should have ordered the lunch special (3 course for $20 instead instead of separate main course and desert). Others in the party ordered steaks, and they liked it.
- Order: herb risotto + creme bulle
