BEST DIM SUM IN CHINATOWN!
I hate those places that serve Dim Sum by cart. By the time you get the food it's cold and has been left out for too long. It's so gross, i don't know how people do it. But everytime i order Dim Sum at Rol San, the food ALWAYS comes out hot, thats why i love it here! I gurantee this is the best place you can eat Dim Sum in Chinatown which actually has taste and flavour to it. I've never had any problems with the service, it's so quick that i get my orders instantly! Just that some of the servers can't speak english is probably the worst i can say. yum yum! I would definetly reccommend it,.

Rude staff? We disagree. On this Monday afternoon, the servers were all pleasant, the hostess was helpful and responsive, and the manager was accommodating and friendly. This is not one of those chain restaurants where the server tells you their life story and acts like they want to be your best friend, but so what. Our aim was to enjoy some mid-afternoon dim sum. The food was great. We'll definitely visit Rol San again.

The food is great here for dim sum. When I head downtown, this is the usual place I go to for dim sum instead of the other offerings on Spadina.

In different seating, the temperature in the restaurant can get a bit cold though.

The food is hot and this place can get crowded in the afternoon for dim sum.

I haven't received any bad service at the location as well.

It's funny because as I'm reading the other people's comments, one thing is clear, their service is terrible. It's so terrible that 4 complete strangers are making a point to mention how terrible. Too bad because their food is pretty good.

the service is crap and the food is great. solution....get take out. eat in your own clean home with clean bathrooms! thats what i do!

I went twice. The first time, the food was reasonable and foodwise, I would have given it a 5. Both times, the service was surly, particularly the second time. I don't expect much from most chinese restaurants in terms of service. I'm half chinese and lived in the area for about 5 years so I'm pretty immune to the attitude. However, on the last visit, they were downright rude. The food itself was incredibly mediocre, flavourless and muddy. Now Magazine Toronto ranks this restaurant highly. I think they need to review it again and update their opinions. Until then, I will take their comments with a very heavy grain of MSG. I will definitely not go to Rol San again.

The food here is really good, I especially enjoy selecting the dim sum. However, the service is really poor. I've been here twice and each time the waitress brings us something we didn't order then, instead of appologizing, gets mad and tells us we made the mistake. The host is also pretty rude - he acts like you don't deserve to eat there. The bathrooms are gross; avoid if possible and the attmousphere leaves something to be desired. Despite all this, the food is good enough that I'll go back again.
