Reliable Fish & Chips

Take out. I will never eat food from there again, it was awful........(except for the pop).......the fish were perfectly shaped rectangles covered by a flat batter. Frozen patties perhaps definitely not fresh.

It's a take out restaurant. I ate the fish and fries combo. It was okay but fries were nothing special. The fish was pretty good but I don't know how fresh it was...

Food is good but the portions are not consistant in size. However, their coleslaw is excellent and highly recommended.

Fish was great. I thought the serving size could be a little larger. The bis surprise was the poutine! Real curds and real gravy. Pure delite. I'll be back for more.

The atmosphere is very small and crowed.

Habibuts was small and taste was bland. You need to add
salt and vingar. The chips was even badder.

Incuding taxes - The meal was over $15.00.

Not worth it considering the tiny halibut portion.

We've been visiting this place for years and love it. The batter is much better than other places and the service was friendly.

After seeing it on restaurant makeover I decided to drop in, it was nicely decorated, tiny, and the service was nice, the menu was interesting but I wasn't too sure about the food. The halibut was very thin, almost like a store bought frozen fillet of tilapia, it was lightly battered without much flavour. I'm surprised chef lynn crawford was *that* impressed by it. Anyway the fries were all bits and pieces, never had anything like it before and I think the oil was not fresh because the fries were a black/brown colour and it seemed it was time to change the oil. The shrimp was nice, I enjoyed it with the onion rings which were crispy.
Nothing too special about this place in my view, try Mc Nies in etobicoke, way better.
The owner and family were very nice, friendly and humble.

I have always loved this place. It is not the atmosphere that will make an impression, but the great quality food. Yum yum!

Generous portions, reasonable price, friendly service, and the salmon was unbelievable! Will definitely go back.

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!

Best fish and chips in a long, long time. Home style fries. Great drinks like Boylan root beer and ginger ale. Service is fast and friendly.

You should stop eating other foods and switch exclusively to this!
