Queen Mother Cafe

Great atmosphere, very pub like, and obviously very popular. We enjoyed our food at the Queen Mother Cafe, but we arrived around 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday and were told we could only order appetizers, because we were there in between lunch and dinner. However, several other tables around us seemed to get hamburgers, which were on the lunch menu but not appetizer menu. Service was decent but not spectacular. Still, the appetizers were delicious and filling enough that it was almost like dinner. We'll definitely come back!

I had the steak and it was delicious. Our server was fantastic and had a great sense of humour. I love, love, love eating here.

I've tried a few dishes here, but I always come back for the pad thai. It's not too sweet - and as spicy as you want it. Lots of chicken and shrimp you don't have to search high and low for.

The atmosphere is nice and it doesn't get too loud in there thanks to the smaller adjoining rooms.

Definitely will continue to go back.

Always try to eat here if in downtown.Have been going here for 15 yrs.One of us always gets the sticky rice & Ping Gui...Great grilled chicken & addictive spicey sauce for dipping.Anything on special always first rate.The staff is very attentive....go out of their way to make you feel welcome;even tho' this is a very busy spot.

The chicken is grilled to perfection...crispy skin and juicy meat. Excellent value and wonderful interior design

This is by far my favorite restaurant. I love the atmosphere, the food is always fantastic. THey change their menu on a fairly regular basis so I am always looking forward to trying something new. Although admittedly I always go for the Pad Thai.
