Peter Pan Bistro

We were trying to eat at Irie, but couldn't find it and this was the closest place in the rain to go for dinner. However, there are some mixed messages going on inside this restaurant. The prices are VERY bistro, but all the linens are paper. There are even paper napkin dispensers on the tables, and fake flowers! The wait staff pour the wine at your table... but the table also has dirty salt & pepper shakers and sugar dispensers... all in all, very confusing. It's almost like a burger joint that got a decent chef and suddenly screamed "YES! I'm a bistro!"

But it's not all bad... The wine was overpriced, as it's a $12 bottle at the LCBO. Having said that, the shrimp were fantastic - we only got 3, but they were quite large. The sauce wasn't spicy at all and tasted like it came from a jar, but the shrimp was so good it was forgiven. My partner and I had the same order and my chicken was perfect, but his was quite dry. Hit and miss, I guess.
