  • Special event. Milestone birthday for a friend. Friendly wait staff. Welcomed, even though we were a bit late. Food excellent, company even better. Very accommodating to a low carb diet.

  • Order: Calamari, octupus, salad, wine.

  • Been going to Pan for more than 6 years, great food, generally good service. Traditionally go for special occassions. Called a week ago to make reservations for my wife's birthday. Followed directions on the voicemail to leave details for the reservation and left 2 contact numbers. Called back a couple of days before the event as I hadn't received a confirmation back only to be told that they were booked and too bad. No apology, when I explained I'd called a week earlier and followed their instructions was told "we're busy" asked to speak to the manager and was told they were busy. This is the second time this has happened, we stopped making online reservations there because those weren't being honored. On principle, we won't go back.

The service was great. Very friendly.

The food was beyond me. Loved it!

The entertainment was so much fun. Enjoyed the live band and belly dancer.

  • Love the Hosts, love the atmosphere. They make you feel like you're part of the family. If you want a hearty dish, try their stifado. Very rich and hard to finish it in one sitting but definitely worth trying.

  • Took my wife to Pan on Saturday night. I knew it would be busy but didn't know that it would be THAT busy at 9pm. We got there and had to wait a while before we could get a table. The staff took care of us..seafood platter was the highlight of the evening. The place is too small for live entertainment but the belly dancer was a nice touch.

  • This is a regular of ours. I haven't tried any more Greek places since going to Pan. We've always had terrific service and always are personally greeted by the owner. It is usually busy so make sure you have reservations, we were lucky and were squeezed in at our last visit. Favorites are the Mezedakia, spanakopita, braised lamb, any of their beef/steak dishes and of course they do the standard greek fare well.

  • It was my first experience at the Pan of the Danforth and I have to say that it was very disappointing. The service was very poor from the start until the end, the menu was over priced significantly for very average food and the portions were very small. No wonder the place was empty.
The sauteed cheese was absolutely awful with no bread to make this very salty cheese enjoyable.
The floured calamari itself did not leave me wanting more, even though I was starving. It was just rubbery and wasn’t savoury at all.
The worst had to be the creme brulee. Not only it was a tiny portion that was equivalent to 3 tablespoons but it was not creamy as it is supposed to be,but completely liquid and tasted anything else but creme brulee.
We were a party of 4 and asked for separate bills while we were still having our dessert but what we had as an answer was that the bill was already printed out and that it was too late to make a change.
Eventually, the waiter took 20 minutes to bring us the bill while the restaurant was almost empty and obviously, gratuity was included, because otherwise no one would have left them anything, as I have never felt more ignored or had such disgusting service.
I will never go back there again and felt we were totally overcharged for the type of food that they served. Once was more than enough for me.

  • What a surprise this restaurant was. My boyfriend and I went because we wanted some really good Greek food. We checked out the reviews for this place and decided to go. I'm so glad we did!! It surpassed all expectations that we could have had. Upon arriving we were pleasantly greeted (by one of the owners I think..) She asked us if we had reservations and even though we didn't, we only had to wait 5 minutes before we were given (what I believe) was the best table in the house. The atmosphere in here is amazing. Romantic, rustic setting with a candlelit ambiance which was truly a cozy feel. That night, they had a live jazz band that played upbeat tunes which wasn't overly loud (we sat at the table right next to where they were performing). To our surprise, when the band completed their set, we were treated a host of Mediterranean songs and a belly dancer!! She did a tremendous job. What we thought was going to be a simple dinner turned out to be a night of decadent surprises!! We will definitely recommend this romantic, quaint restaurant to our friends and family....and we will DEFINITELY be back...oh by the way...the food is absolutley amazing!!! P.S. Save room for the chocolate torte...it's worth it!

  • Went to this restaurant for summerlicious. Both myself and another person chose this restaurant because we wanted to try the lamb shank.

But when we arrived, they were sold out of the lamb shank. We didn't want to try their salmon or chicken dish not because we expected them to be bad but it was just that we really wanted to have lamb that day. So we asked if we could order a lamb-entree from the regular menu and we will pay the difference.

Waitress (forgot her name) was very accomodating and we ordered the lamb souvlaki, done medium. When it came out, it was a full-sized dinner entree and the lamb was perfectly cooked. The rice was perfectly done with a nice cheesy taste and the potatoes had a nice tangy finish.

Their appetizers (ordered the dip and mussels). Mussels were ok but the dip was very fresh. It was addicting to eat.

Their desserts were quite good and I especially enjoyed their phyllo wrapped dessert. Their Belgian chocolate torte was quite heavy for my taste but chocolate afficianados would definately enjoy it.

We paid a bit more for the lamb souvlaki as it wasn't part of the prix fixe menu but the price difference was fair and I was surprised at the portion size. Me and my date were so full, we couldn't eat for the rest of the day.

I especially appreciated the service, who accomodated our request for a lamb dish separate from the prix fixe menu. We just really wanted lamb that day and the waitress made sure we had our lamb. =)

All in all, it was a very positive experience and would definately come back for a regular dining experience. Service was very good, food was very good, ambience was appropriate and very nice.
