Mazz Restaurant

My girlfriend and I visited Mazz for lunch, and got two lunch specials. They were served with marinated tofu, congee, salad and miso soup (in addition to a heaping bento box of goodness!)

We very much enjoyed everything, and will undoubtedly be visiting in the near future.

Former longtime Mazz customers too. We totally miss those amazing spicy tuna and salmon rolls! Seriously, we used to get take-out once a week. But, slowly the quality of those rolls declined to a point where we just had to put our foot down and say "ugh...NEVER AGAIN!"

I, like Dan the Sushi Eater, also used to be a long time loyal customer of Mazz. The food quality has slowly been going down since the new owners took over, but it is now to a point that I can no longer go back. On my last and final visit, the rice in my rolls & nigiri was hard & chewy. I also noticed on my last two visits that the fish was not fresh at all. It's really too bad and I will miss their spicy tuna/salmon rolls.

Fortunately, a new sushi joint has recently opened up about 2 blocks west on the same side of Bloor. TOKYO SUSHI is a great new sushi joint that I highly recommend! Like Mazz, miso soup (excellent! with mushrooms) & salad is included and you get a couple of yummy free starters (varies). I'll write a proper review of this restaurant.

Lunch was great.
Fresh sushi, great california rolls, & these tasty rolls with teriyaki shrimp.
Waitress was friendly and courteous. Good service.

i was a long time loyal customer. then the management changed and the service got worse. the food quality got lower by a bit. Overall i am disappointed with the transistion in management and dont think im gonna go back to this place =(.

fresh and tasty. The service use to be better when there was this other waitress there but now is not as good. If she was still there it would make the place flawless. Overall its a good place to go to

Very fresh and tasty food. Large portions. Great value on the prices. Won't be dissapointed.

Great sushi place outside of the annex. Delicious starters (both Korean and Japanese). Sushi is always fresh, delicious and generous portions. I usually go to the annex to grab sushi, but Mazz does it just as well if not better. Definitely better than the highly over rated New Generation Sushi (which always disappoints). Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
