Irie Food Joint

Great food; really interesting atmosphere. Spectacular drinks! The seats on the outside patio are tree stumps. There's live music too on some days. The menus come on a vinyl record. And I had pretty good service too. No lingering waiters but I saw them pretty often during the night. It's one of the few cozy getaways left in Toronto.

I have mixed feelings about this place...
I went there for a going away party on a monday night- we were a large party of servers and bartenders, and were the only ones in there.
the decor was great, and as servers we're a pretty charitable group, but the service was horrible. They never came back to see us, and when they did we ordered like mad- we even asked them to come back more often.
so, yeah, the food was good, the drinks were okay, but the service was horrible.
you'd think that with a tab of $900 for the group they could have paid alittle attention to us, as the ONLY people in there!

This is a nice carribean restaurant. The atmosphere is great, and so is the heated outdoor patio. On the night that we went, service was slow due to a staffing isue...but its not usually like that. I reccommend this resaurant, and I will be going again.
