  • I wouldn't have minded how rediculously expensive it was hadent they burned our steaks !
We ordered a double porter house that was burnt, and for a stupid reason they cut it in slices so you can't get rid of the burnt parts + it is very cold by the time you reach half your steak.
starters and side weren't also that great.
The server was great but when the hostess suggested we ask the chef about the possible meats, the chef asked me if I know steaks or if I was a" novice !!" how rude!
would never go back, you could pay the same money ( or even less) at Ruth Chris and have a meal of a life time.

  • Great steak, but more expensive than foie gras... Food is good - steak are amazing with a very good choice of cut - portion size are amazing - the menu is interesting, but be prepare to unfold a few large bill... This place is not cheap... at the bottom of Bay Street, the golden boys like to be seen and impress the gallery !!! Overall, worth it for a steak dinner with the boys.... P.S. Not a very romantic place.

  • Most expensive steak I have ever had and not the best. Sides are extra??? what's with that!!. The service was very good, but the lonely overcooked steak on my plate for $60.00 was a bit much.

  • Fantastic food, great decor, superb service. Every conversation about steaks in Toronto involves comparison to Harbour 60 so it must be the golden standard. Right?

  • I travel all over North America on business and eat at all the top restaurants and Harbour Sixty is definitely the most over rated and over priced of them all. $60.00 for a very average steak (a la carte!), $12.00 for potatoes and $13.00 for a pre-meal Corona! I won't even start on the wine prices. Over $800.00 for the four of us and we left feeling it was average at best. Basically full of Ginos trying to impress their dates with a $500.00 dinner bill...

  • We are not from Toronto and went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. We were in the Basement but it was really nice. Not too busy although we were told it was fully booked. Olive platter was great. Being from Alberta we doubted USDA beef could be better but husband said it was great and hated to admit it was. Lamb chops were the largest I had ever seen and both meats were cooked to perfection. Sides were delicious and plentiful. I would say portions for a restaurant of this calibre were very generous. Have been to restaurants here and all you get is a large plate and small bit of food in middle. Server Ricardo was very helpful. If we get the chance, I am sure we would go back when next in Toronto.

  • We had a room for 19 people which is in the basement of all places, so not much for atmosphere.
Waiter told of specials and mentioned a Seafood Tower which was great for groups and recommended 2 per table. We ordered one which was enough for our table of 10 and very delicious, but later found out that it cost $275! Very happy we did not order 4 of them.
Asked the waiter if the Lobster Chowder was cream based and was told it was. Got it and it was much closer to Chicken noodle soup only instead of chicken there were small peices of lobster meat. Definitely overpriced at $14.
The Porterhouse was a decent cut of meat. Not very fatty. I ordered it Medium Rare after the waiter mentioned that they tend to undercook the steaks. The steak arrived and it was Medium. At a place like this I figured that they could at least cook a steak to the right temperature. Steak was about $56.
I nibbled on some Kobe beef steaks that some of my colleagues could not finish and was not impressed by those.
The dessert was done well. Had Banana Crepes with Rum Raisin Ice Cream. Tasty, but not for $13.
The restaurant tries to nickle and dime you as well. We had bottles of water that they continued to open and pour and later found out that they were $10 each. The 17 bottles of water cost $170!!!!
Lessons learned: Ask for prices when something is market price, ask how much a bottle of water costs, send the food back when not prepared as described or requested. As far as Harbour 60 is concerned though...just don't go.
Bill for 19 was about $4800.

  • I must say I was expecting more from Harbour Sixty. For spending more on one meal than I would on two weeks groceries - I’ll take the groceries. I started with the scallops and they were quite nice, however the Bone-in Rib Steak was an extremely poor cut of meat - filled with fat and gristle. It was cooked to my liking, but it took surgical precision the extract the edible meat.

The service was top notch and the prices outrageous – par for the course I guess. They have a fantastic wine selection, but their beer selection was only in bottles and extremely limited – another deterrent to my return. I would not recommend this to anyone.
If you’re looking for quality for value, try Barbarian’s on Elm St. – it was a far more enjoyable meal in my opinion.

  • I had the lobster bisque and filet mignon. The filet was perfect -- exactly as I like it. The lobster was less creamy than I expected, and I would probably have preferred something else had I known. The mushrooms were fantastic.

The service was fair. We arrived before the other two in our party and the waiter forgot to come back and ask me what I would like to drink after I said I needed a few minutes to look at their drink menu. He was very helpful and attentive otherwise, especially considering we were in a rush due to traffic.

  • Had to rush dinner this time as we got to restaurant late and were going to see the Police concert, but they accommodated us well. Nice things are that you can order a hlaf salad as an appetizer which many places will not allow. The ambiance here is great, the wine cellar deep, and they have a well stocked bar with different prime brands. I had the grouper and it was very good, but the giant shrimp on top was a little rubbery. No big deal. What ruined this meal for us was their meat policy. My wife ordered the filet mignon, and she likes lots of pink but no blood, so we usually order a medium. Waiter insisted this is medium well at their restaurant. I said 'Are you sure?' and he said yes. Anyhow, when steak arrived, it didnt havent have any pink and little didnt when it left the kitchen. We didnt have time to change it, but little things like this ruin a meal. We will come back, but to get the top marks, a place has to get it all right, and this night they did not. I disagree with the low marks the other reviewers gave, its hard to go that wrong, but it is an expensive dining experience, and for that, you expect perfection, so only a 7 this time.
