Greek Islands Restaurant

Its a great restaurant, I dont understand the rude reviews. The food is great, friendly service every time we have eaten there and delivery is quick and the lady on the phone extremely nice. Love their greek salad and rice and potatoes. Best dips we've had!

Best food and drinks I had for a while, service was fast, polite and professional. Thumbs up!!!!! I will visit again!!!

Service was fine but the food was over-cooked, over-spiced, and tastes like something you could buy at Loblaws or prepare from frozen. Food took ages to come. Very mediocre Greek. Prices aren't offensive but not cheap either.

it has taken some time to write this review and I cannot remember all that we ordered. The food was good though, i do remember that much. What i do remember however was the waitress. Pushy and rude.

My parents were visiting from England and love greek food, so we thought we would try it out.

We had selected some dishes that we wanted, She in a rather pushy manner said that they were not the best dishes to eat and recommended other dishes; we went along with.

What was really bad and spoilt everything was the fact that she asked if I had briefed my parents on the fact that in Canada we tip and gave a suitable amount to tip as well. Unbelievable.

I have heard from someone else that has visited the restaurant of the pushy waitress.

Went for dinner with my girlfriend and another couple. We ordered the sampler of appetizers with pita and it was very tasty and fresh, the grilled calamari was tender and the saganaki, not as salty as other places. we had as amain course two chicken souvlaki meals , one lamb souvlaki meal and a stuffed chicken. Let me tell you about the chicken...superb tenderness and taste. overall the food was above grade by comparison. The staff was friendly and eager to please. We are going back in March for a birthday dinner.

I was not impressed by two drunkards who sat at the bar screaming homophobic and misogynistic remarks throughout the meal. The waiter apologized and said they were "family friends" but I was not impressed. I will not return.

The absolute worst greek food my husband and I have ever eaten. I would guess that both entres were prepared from a 'box' as they were tasteless and lacking in ingredients. Something gritty was in the rice & salads - crunchy like eating sandwiches at the beach. I should have gone to the Danforth for sure. There was nothing 'greek' about this restaurant at all.

The food is great especially their greek salad loaded with feta cheese. Unfortunately, the service was very long and the waitress was such in a bad mood (to be respectful if you know what I mean). We asked for the bill 3 times and she didn't give it a s... I may not go back if she is still there ... didn't leave any tips...

Had a blast.......staff & food was the best i've had in Toronto......will be back soon
