Best burger in the world. I am an expatriate Torontonian living in France. The thing I miss most about my hometown is the Detroit burger.peameal and cheese on a glorious patty. Miss Chris and the gang there as well.

The Detroit Eatery is for hungry, hockey fans, kids of all ages and anyone who wants a good home cooked meal! From great daily specials to the best burgers, salads and chicken breasts - I've even had the liver and it was superb! Detroit's diner chic adds to the mix. Chris, and his father Alex, are always friendly and super kind to kids. We love having The Detroit Eatery in our neighbourhood!

After reading extremely positive reviews on this site, we visited Detroit for what should have been a gastronmic delight. We think that the reviews were written by the owner's family or frozen food supplier.
The restaurant was dark and far from spotless.
The home made burger was dry, overcooked and loaded with garlic.
The fries and onion rings were made from frozen (not the good frozen either)
The ONLY thing we liked was the large TV screen showing the ball games. Took our mind off the food.
The prices reflected the quality of the food. You get what you pay for.
If you're looking for a great burger with fresh cut fries and onion rings, go to Golden Star on Yonge north of Steeles or Burger Shack on Eglnton at Mt. Pleasant. - Order: Cheeseburger, Coke, fries, onion rings

If you're a hockey fan then you should enjoy the burgers because they taste like hockey pucks. The coleslaw tasted like it came from someone's lawn after they mowed it. The onion rings were greasy and the fries were just your typical frozen kind. Signed hockey memorabilia doesn't make for great food and this place doesn't have it even if the prices are better than other burger joints. Don't waste your time or money.

I love this place! The food is awesome and the owner is awesome. Lots of Detroit Red Wings items collected over many years. The Stanley cup made its way here to this restaurant and I was there to see Kris Draper and the Stanley cup. I love it when we go here.
