Coras is a nice All Day Breaky place (did I mention we love all day breaky). A nice unique concept with an interesting menu.
My wife loved her meal. Mine was satisfying but not the best I'd ever had.
A quaint place with some personality. I recommend it to All-Day-Breakfast fans.

Great place for casual and leisurely breakfast or lunch. Kid-friendy too - we received complimentary banana slices and cheerios to keep the baby happy. Server was very friendly and prompt. Had poached eggs (cooked to order), bacon, roasted potatoes and blueberry crepes. The crepes were like a flat, glutinous pancake - I prefer them paper thin. The savory foods were alright.

A great place to go for breakfast. Started in Quebec, their menu items have French Canadian influence. For example you'll find crepes instead of pancakes, baked beans and creton.. all of which I suggest you try!
Their menu is quite large, they have everything from eggs+bacon to crepes to waffles. They even have lunch items. I have tried a lot of their menu items and I have to say that I've never been disappointed (so I can't recommend one thing in particular, sorry!). I'm not an omelette person but I love their omelettes. They always have new/different items so I always end up trying something different. The great part is that almost everything comes with fresh fruit, which is a novelty compared to most Americanized family restaurant style breakfast places.
Some might say it is pricey for breakfast. And make sure you anticipate waiting 20-30 minutes in line if you go on Saturday or Sunday morning or early afternoon.
This particular location however is a bad representation of the chain's success. The service is generally bad and the food was not as good as other locations. I've been to Cora's at least 35 times all around Montreal and in Calgary and never had undercooked pancakes. When we sent them back, the cook microwaved them and returned it to us. My eggs benedict took forever to get to me (there was someone else who sat down next to us after we had sat down, ordered the same thing I ordered and got it before me). When we explained it to our waiter, he was overly defensive and almost cried as if he was at the end of a long shift full of things like this.
We love Cora but we certainly won't return to this location.

Lineup was 30 minutes outside, then after getting seated, the wait for the food was another 20 minutes ! Food was cold and my order was wrong ! I pointed this out to the server and she didn't even apologize, instead, went on to explain to me that some other server must have taken my plate from the kitchen. The manager was not very empathetic either, just offered to give me a discount on my bill. The staff is quite immature and is not in tune with what good customer service is about. This place is overhyped. Expect to pay too much for an average breakfast. There are better dining experiences out there.
- Order: crepes and omellete

Cora's is by far my favourite breakfast place. The only problem is that there are always huge line ups outside on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's worth the wait though. I love how they add good helpings of freshly cut fruit to most dishes. And they have very creative dishes to give you lots of options apart from your regular bacon and eggs that you can get anywhere else.

I love ordering eggs benedict out because I hate making it for myself at home. But sometimes it's a gamble as to whether the eggs will be poached right. These were perfect. And the combination of the brie and mushrooms with the hollandaise was great. The accompanying fruit almost looked too pretty to eat!

After a long 30 minute lineup outside in the cold, we got into a crowded Cora's, after all this anticipation
All in all, food presentation 10/10, value 7/10 as I didn't find them THAT special compared to other places. Bill inc. tip was $55 for 4.
The wait and the rush, the crowd didn't help much either but to disappoint from high expectations.
I don't mind re-visit again to try the other plates, but no more waiting in line for this.
I wish I can post pictures

4 of us stopped in for breakfast. All of us were very impressed and can't wait to go back again. Our meals varied from eggs benedict (delicious) to a spinach crepe (spectacular). Service was pleasant and fast. Food was served hot and enjoyed by all of us. When we were leaving all of us were eyeing another patrons breakfast of strawberry crepe - it was huge and looked delicious.

I didnt realize that there was a Cora's breakfast in toronto, so i would always ask my friend in ottawa to take me to Cora's whenever i visited her. This time when i went to ottawa the first thing i did was go to Cora's i ordered the mango banana smoothie and had the spinach and cheddar crepe/omellet. It came with the side order of fruits and potatoe. overall once again a wonderful experience and yes i would love to go again now that i know its in TORONTO!!! yaayyyy
- Order: Spinach and cheddar omellet and mango and banana smoothie with a side order of fruit cup.
