Chiado Restaurant

I loved everything about this restaurant! From the valet service at the door, the discreet but highly efficient service, the fresh and delicious seafood and wonderfully light Molotov dessert, and the extensive list of Portuguese wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Nothing dull here. Yes, this has got to be the best Portuguese restaurant in Toronto! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or romantic dinners.

I don't normally frequent pricey restos, but this one, is worth the try. And you won't be disappointed. It's a quaint little place, with dim lighting and valet parking.
They serve you this basket of warm bread with olive oil, while you wait for your meal. It was excellent.
The jumbo prawn starters were AMAZING! Didn't think I could find seafood this good in Canada. The fresh fish was excellent as well. I think it's worth trying atleast once.
We tried to tip the waiter that parked our car, but he flat out refused, because of restaurant standards or something. I was impressed. Definitely a classy joint!

We went for our NYE dinner and had a blast..

Extremely expensive so do remember leave your conscience at home with all the guilt you plan on facing the next morning...

Amazing menu, LOVELY FRESH Fish.. Different Types to choose from.

Excellent service. Just as good as any top restaurant in Toronto. They have an assortment of fresh fish flown in daily. They place the fish on a tray and before you order they come by with it and a story about each fish. All fish on the tray are $25/ea. Some of them I have never seen in Toronto before.

Once again excellent service. Rather expensive but worth the treat once in a while.

Expect to drop $250 for two people with wine so be prepared.

The service was amazing. We had one of the manager, 'tony' serving us. He paired our meal with a bottle of red vino.

Food, Drinks and Dessert was really really good ! Will be back for sure.

Salmon was great but way too pricey. We ended up spending well over what we had intended....I have had better portuguese food before which wasn't so harsh on the wallet!

This is not a CASUAL restaurant. It is a fine dining establishment with great food. They do Portuguese and mediterrean cuisine. Excellent food, great chef!
