Another Oliver and Bonacini chain which i always enjoy. Just like most of their restaurants the service is usually slow but they still have a nice staff. The only problem with the food was that my new york strip was supposed to come with seasonal veg but it ended up being gray celery and onions. (The oysters were the smallest oysters I've ever seen too). So I'd say just stick with their other restuarants since this one is probably their worst :(

The food was simply awesome.
The only thing that would prevent me from going back is the price. But because we had a 50% deal from August-Employee-Discount, we went there yesterday, since few of my friends have recommended it to me.I was very pleased. The seafood platter was amazing. The octopus' tenderness was at its optimal. The salmon appetizer was godly too. I'm not a fan of raw Oyster, but I had one and liked it, it was so fresh. The shrimp cocktail was just like any regular fine dining place. And i forgot what the last peace of appetizer was hehe
I didn't treat the dining bread because i was not hungry to start with, and had a sip at Baton Rouge before that. I tried their mini Cornichon (pickles), i prefer much more the regular size fresh ones at other places.
For Entree, I had Arctic Char.. it was really good. It really felt like a salmon, just perfectly cooked. I didn't really like those salty lentils at the bottom of the plate. But that didnt' matter. The fish was simply fantastic. It's just impossible to make this fish any better seriously. I might have become biased because of the awesome appetizer tho.
My fiend had lamb rack last time and said they were heavenly good. But this time, the same people tried duckleg and another piece of lamb (not rack), and found it really really good too but they said it was a bit too salty. Mine was fine.
I rarely eat dessert, but I thought it was worth a try since the food's been amazing all the way. I ordered something called "...something....with ice cream".. and i didn't know what that was. It ended up being a cream puff with ice cream in. That sort of disapointed me cause i don't like puffs. But overall the dessert was tasty.
I seldom give a 5 for food, but this one really deserves it.
And seriously.. i never give 5 for service either. This restaurant is more like a 4 to me. Everyone was professional and very serving-ish with good attitude. But i was heading to washroom, and this pretty waitress saw me going towards her, she immediatly stood aside and apologize for being on my way. Ok come on, that was just way too much of politeness. I would normally consider this fake, but because she was just a bit too cute and sincere, i'll give this a 5.I think it's worth to mention that my friend order this Cheese dessert that states 7$/30g. Anyway... they brought this whole try of different kind of cheese for him to choose, and it looked just too professional. When the 2 x 30g of cheese arrived, tons of other biscuit and condiments tagged along. So they offered more.
The creme brule that his gf ordered was very good too. But it can't go too godly so nothing much to mention there.Over all, this was just an amazing experience.
And just to give a bit of background about myself, i can tell what good food is.:)

We were walking around downtown in search of a random place to eat. Walked past Biff's and were drawn in by the intoxicating aromas wafting off of the patios.
Biff's participates in the Summerlicious promotion, and we were lucky to get a three-course meal for $25 per person. Based on the food quality we received, this is an excellent price. The Caesar salad was fresh, with a homemade dressing. It contained black olives and a single, large crouton instead of bacon bits and numerous croutons, a welcome change from the standard, boring salad.
The salmon was baked to moist perfection and didn't have a sauce that so often ruins a nice piece of salmon. My fiancée ordered it, so I didn't eat more than a bite, but it was excellent.
I ordered the Moroccan chicken with couscous, which was good; the chicken was moist and lightly flavoured, the couscous wasn't mushy and was also lightly spiced. However, I preferred the salmon, as it was more flavourful.
The service we received was very attentive and courteous. Evidently we had better waiters than some of the other reviewers or the restaurant has improved their service considerably. Our water and wineglasses were never allowed to go empty, and the timing of the food (appetizer to main course, main course to dessert) was excellent.

Service is terrible here. We had been here a couple of times previously , and both times had to wait a long time to eat, but we tried again on Valentine's Day 2009 and it was even worse! Waited over 60 minutes for the entrees to arrive. I suggest you avoid this place. Too bad because food is quite good.

My boyfriend took me to this place on a Saturday night. The ambiance was great, and the food was fabulous. However, my first choice of main course was the organic quail (which they ran out of); my 2nd choice was the salmon (which they also ran out of). I then ordered the steak. The steak was great; however, it is unacceptable for such a restaurant to run out of 2 popular menu items. In the event that they do, patrons should be notified ahead of time.

Beef tartar was good. The seafood platter consists of 4/5 mini dishes, plus raw oysters. Salmon tartar, grilled squid and mussels were ok, however I think the chef shouldn't add parma ham to the clams. The flavor of the ham completely overpowered the taste of the clams.
I was very disappointed at the seared scallops. There was a layer of sauce that tasted like barbecue sauce on top of the scallops. I mean, who would barbecue sauce on seafood, let alone chefs who are supposed to be trained professionally? Just unacceptable!

We have enjoyed Biff's many times and we are never disappointed. The elegant atmosphere of the Bistro theme is supported by crisp white table clothes and serviettes. The service is always first class with all wait staff willing to help any table even during the hectic rush times immediately prior to or just after theatre. The menu offering might be faulted for being limited but the quality is always good. Prices are below what we would expect to pay for this standard of quality with such an excellent location. Free parking is provided underground enebling us to commute comfortably from car to restaurant without stepping outdoors.
Excellent.

Food was good. Service was terrible. The waits until the staff asked what we wanted (to eat, to drink, for dessert) were endless. Staff poured red wine into a glass that had already been used for white. Staff forgot to serve all the wine. We found our partially empty bottle at the end of the meal after everything had been cleared away. Inexcusably bad sevice!!
