The Lighthouse Inn

I am normally not one to make a complaint about a restaurant or my meal considering I once cooked at a busy restaurant. Tonight was the first time I ever sent a plate back to the kitchen. ... Our family (a party of 20) decided to go out for mothers day. Reservations were made a week in advance. We waited almost 2 hrs for our meal. ... 6 at most out of 20 actually ate their meal. Cold potatoes, over cooked shrimp, over seasoned noodles to say the least. Most of the meals were barely warm! Tonight we ate at the Lighthouse Cove. We knew it usually takes longer than normal to get food but as locals that's a minor issue. The service was awful. It took 45 minutes just to get the salad that came with our meal. Yes it was busy but not busier than any other busy weekend. There was no excuse. I've never been out for dinner with my family before with this many complaints. Maybe a heads up an hour into the wait would have been nice. A warning saying it's going to take another 45 minutes for you to get your food. .. Needless to say my family of 4 will not be eating out at The Lighthouse again. Not for a very long time to say the least. They did take a loss on all the meals which was to be expected. It's too bad it took the return of most of our food and many complaints to initiate one apology from someone other than our waitress. ..

I managed to make it out to all Three restaurants in the Lighthouse Cove this summer. Lighthouse inn, Dockside and the new one this year Moyers. I did enjoy all three of them! service could have been better but i am the biggest fan of the food out there so I dont mind. I must add that the new Moyers Restaurant (formerly Radlins Cafe) is quiet the treat! the prices are just right and you definitely get what you pay for. I look forward to to visiting all three of them again next summer, Moyers a few times though Love there wings!

Took a short drive from Windsor one weekend, surprised at the view. It was beautiful. We were seated in the dining room overlooking the lake on a beautiful sunny day. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Will come back for another good time!

Heard about this place for years from friends so out on a Sunday for a ride from Windsor. What a shame. Beautiful view, perfect weather. Terrible service, overpriced, extremely bad food. Even adequate is overrated. Who owns this place? Hello, lucky you have very little competition. The wait is terrble. Don't waste your time.

we read the reviews here before our visit. the view is fantastic , we ate in the new boathouse pub inside the lighthouse restaurant itself. the person who sat us was unfriendly and not welcoming. it got much worst from there. waitress was slow and not friendly the plastic glasses were dirty the food was cold and we waited for our meal for almost 90 minutes. the pesto pasta was tasteless and dry. the perch dinners were cold and the ribs were tough cold but served on a super hot plate. no way we will ever go back
did i mention the waitress was terrible!

Popped in on Valentine's day, around 2 or 3. Had a light lunch. Food was really good. Service seemed slow, considering there really we'rent that many people there. I had to go to the till myself to get them to print the bill, which is a pet peeve of mine, as you don't know how long to wait for them to bring it. Anyway, nice place, food was good. Soup was amazing.

We ate dinner at about 8 PM after the crowd comes and goes. Service was great. Food was great...View is always great.

I found the service to be very good, and that our table was very well looked after. I was really happy with the relaxed atmosphere that was lacking nothing.

The view of Lake St Claire while the sun set was fantastic.

I will 10% for sure return to this location for another meal and recommend it to friends when they are in the area.

A GREAT PLACE TO EAT AND TO ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE-GOOD DRINKS ,GOOD FOOD, GREAT STAFF WHO MAKE YOU FEEL TRUELY WELCOME. WE WILL RETURN!!!! ate in bar area --waiter was great with good sense of humour
