Neebing Roadhouse

I can't be the only one who takes issue with staff members reviewing the (sub-par) restaurants they work in?

MichaelMichael defends the long waits, terrible service, and cold food. Stop complaining and fix the problems.
It took over an hour to get 4 burgers and fries with 2 other tables in the restaurant and 2 waitresses on. I'm sure our server did not detour for half an hour on her way back from the kitchen.
The atmosphere for a lounge/bar is fabulous. Unfortunately, you're also attempting at being a restaurant.
My advice would be if you're looking for a friendly, neighbourhood joint for a beer and some peanuts come on down.
If you actually want to eat, better pack a lunch.

The place is filthy, the windows and window sills appear to have never been cleaned. service is bad, waitress dissappeared. Food was mediocre at best.

Had two tables for a Wedding Rehearsal dinner.

One table was completely ignored.
No menus, no water, no drinks, the other table was already receiving their food.

Food was good when it eventually came.

Wouldn't recommend this the Neebing.

before I get my review started, I would like to state that what NICEGUY has written about the Neebing is B.S.
i would know, I work as a bar line cook there.
Now that I got that off my chest, here is what I really think about the joint.

The kitchen staff love working here and always try to put at least 131% into what they are making, sometimes we are under-staffed when a walk-in of 40 hockey parents stroll in but we still try to make sure the food is just as good as if one person came in and we had all the time in the world to make their food.

I do agree with others about the Service though, It does take a long time for food to go out and I'm sure it takes even longer for them to serve you.
It doesn't help that half the Servers are brand new and the other half don't give a crap about being there.

whether You had good service or not, NO ONE can argue that the Roadhouse doesn't have one of the coolest atmospheres for a bar in Thunder Bay.
Everyone knows everyone and if you come in here and you don't know anyone, I can gaurantee someone will introduce themselves and you will have a new friend for the next time you stop by!

We do eat here quite often. It is not "fancy" by any means but we do like the atmosphere and food.

Great food, clean, fun environment. Definitely fans of the local hockey heros (Staal family!).

great place to eat but the service is sometimes slow as they never seem to have just enough people on the floor.

Great atmosphere. First class food. Menu needs and update but still a great place to meet.

It was after dinner and wasn't really busy. I sat down and waited for 20 minutes for a waitress to come to the table. In the meantime I watched 3 of them joking around and sipping on pop. They didn't even seem to notice the table full of people looking anxiously at them.

Food was good, but service is horrible.

Great and friendly staff. You could tell the found was made with a personal touch. Tasted delicious. The chef even came out to say 'hello'.
