  • On more than one occasion I attended Sun Wah's lunch buffet with a large group. If you're looking to sample different shades of lipstick, this is the place for you. The last two times we have had to ask for clean glasses as the ones set at our table had beautiful lipstick stains on them. The waitress explained that this was because women are wearing long wear lipstick and that their dishwashing machines can't clean them properly... hmmmmm, makes me wonder about the cleanliness of everything else. On another occasion we sat at a table for 8 (there were 6 of us) and were just about to take our first bites from our plates when the waitress approached us telling us to move, because the owner would not like that we were sitting there. We had to move to a much smaller table where our elbows were hitting each other for the entire meal. The only way I'll go back is if I need to find a new shade of lipstick.

  • We went to this restuarant based on the reviews. It was one of the worst buffets I have been to.The food is tasteless the won ton soup was justa mush of overcooked noodles. Save your money and go to kings buffet. Service wasnt very good either had to call the waitress a few times just for coffee refills.

  • I've dined here a few times now, and each time it has been fantastic.
The food is very fresh and flavourful. They make most everything from scratch, and this really shows with the fresh chicken balls and amazing spring rolls.
Compare their noodles and veggies to any other buffet and you'll gain some understanding as to how fresh this stuff is. Veggies are delicious and crisp! Noodles still have some firmness to them. All other buffets I find the veggies are either over-cooked, or have been sitting so long that they are much too soft.

The buffet itself is of medium size... there's definitely enough selection for me and there aren't many things that I would be afraid to try--it all looks good. Definitely smaller than the Mandarin's of the South, but enough selection for anybody, I should think.

Service has always been great. True, the water glasses are small, but you can ask for a carafe of water and they will bring it (it's a full litre of water)--the last two times I've been they brought it without asking.

I've had take-out here a couple of times as well, and it was piping hot and extremely fresh.

I've only been in Sudbury for a few months and am thrilled to have found such a great Chinese place so close to home!

    Highly recommended!

Always a busy place, and we've been there several times over the years. I love the fried zucchini and their chicken wings.

  • Overall for chinese food this wasn't bad. Better than Kings Buffet and others we've been to, however they do not excel in customer service. Once we told the waitress we would have the buffet + two extra desserts, we did not see her again.
Our water wasn't refilled at all and they were packing up their buffet before 7:40 p.m. We also waited at least 10 minutes at the check out counter waiting to pay and leave.

  • The Sun Wah Restraunt does not offer any tool/utensil to crack open the crab legs that they offer on the buffet. I think that is a pretty cleaver tactic to prevent people from enjoying and gorging on loads of crab. By the end of your eating experience you will walk out of there with callouses on your fingers! They do not replenish the chaffing dish of crab often either! If you are going to offer crab on the buffet, stick to your guns and provide it!

If you are mainly vegetarian, forget eating here! This buffet was created for meat eater's!

If you want 'real' won-ton soup..you won't get it at the Sun Wah! If you like a broth made from chicken boullion cubes..you will love it!

They do offer a few nice looking meat and vegetable dishes. Unfortunately, none of them had any flavour. Where is the garlic and ginger?

Attention: All Salt and Grease Lover's...
Sun Wah offers a wide variety of deep fried num-nums and plenty of salty dishes for all..or perhaps it is our good o'l friend msg!

I know I am being a 'tad' harsh..but I am just being honest. For the average person that just likes a greasy meat loving time..you will love it. For the people who like flavour and quality..you may be disapointed!

    For the price...not worth it!

  • The order was ready on time, it was hot and absolutely delicious. Probably the busiest chineese restaurant in town, and with good reason. The food is good and consistantly up to high standards, so you know it is always fresh.
Incidently this was a 2006 New Years eve take out order.

  • Order: Sweet and sour chicken balls, diced chicken with vegetable and almonds, and tai dip wooey.

  • The service was terrible. We got one tiny glass of water to drink, and the server did not come back to ask us if we wanted a refill. As well the food was really greasy. I think it was overpriced for their selection of food and the service was terrible considering how many people seemed to be working.
