Food was good, staff was respectful of my needs, didn't like the young guy behind the counter eating while my food is being prepared.
All in all, experience was good to great.

Best sushi in Sudbury!
Nothing fancy about it but it has a cute hole-in-the-wall vibe about it. The dynamite rolls are amazing! If you're looking for a more formal sit down meal, then this restaurant isn't for you. They only serve beer and wine and there is no dessert. - Order: Miso soup, dynamite roll, spicy salmon roll, rainbow roll, salmon sushi appetizers (5 pcs for $5.95-great deal), house handrolls

The food was great. I had seafood udon, tempura, and the table shared a couple rolls. A bit expensive but we came out stuffed and it cost less than the all-you-can-eat. Slight downside though, never got offered a second beverage when the first one was empty. Found myself sucking on ice cubes; something I'm not particularly fond of doing in a restaurant.

After reading some review on that restaurant I was excited to go and try it, it was on a wednesday arround 8pm and I notice that this restaurant was open untill 9pm. I decided to go directly and order to take out. I pull in at 8:15 As I enter I saw some chairs on tables, the lady look at me and I immediatly ask if I could order to take out, she said no problem, but the chef said NO too late... On my way to that place I notice another Sushi restaurant UMAI SUSHI, I stop and they took my order. I think its the best thing that could happen to me, I had 3 different roll and they were absolutly delicious one of the best sushi I've ever taste!!! Thank you Umai Sushi. For sure I will be back on my next trip!
- Order: Kamikaze Fusion Roll, Dynamite roll and Spicy Salmon roll, served with Miso soup and green salad. All that for 20$

Sorry but how exactly can you criticize the food and atmosphere when you never experienced it? Services sure but you didn't touch the food. Good job lowering the rating of a respectable restaurant.

The first time we went my then boyfriend was a complete moron. I was too mortified to return for awhile. When I did it was with my fiancee who was taking me out for a good Japanese meal.
I like that the owner is actually Japanese, not Chinese or Korean, and the menu is Japanese... without any Korean or Chinese "filler" items.
The price is the same, more expensive AND less expensive than the other place at the same time. It all depends on the order, but I did find that the cost was a bit lower overall.
It could use a bit of an interior designer's touch (preferably one familiar with traditional Japanese design!) as you get the feeling that it was rushed and/or done on a budget... a lower budget but at least the decorations are Japanese... or coming from Japan.
To counter this is the obvious Japanese ownership, and service. It feels homey, almost like you are in a small, more established Tokyo sushi bar. It's not hip, shiny and new, but comfortable and well lived in. You walk in the door and you feel almost like family in a family run business - and quite frankly so many businesses go to one of either extremes. Either it feels like fast food or it feels so rigid and upscale that you're too busy worried about how you look and how you look eating than you are with the food. That doesn't happen at Sapporo. The atmosphere is too friendly and warm, with easy conversation between you, the waitresses or waiters, the owner and anyone else that happens to be there. You don't feel rushed to eat and leave, or even pressured to order a big meal. The owner is just happy to talk to you over tea or beer and see your familiar face, but not so desperate (because I get the feeling he'll be around a long time) to have your money. You order something and have to go, that's okay. Sit and chat and watch the busy world go by while sipping hot green tea and having soup, that's okay too.
There are areas that could be improved. As I said, it desperately needs a professional, or talented amateur, interior designer's touch and for the turnover rate with the servers to slow down.
Other than that... it's fantastic and definitely worth going back to... over and over and over again!
- Order: tea, sushi, soup

I've been here many time for lunch and supper and the food is usually very good. You can get lunch for a great price, usually about 12-15 rolls for 9-11$. Supper is a little more expensive, but still reasonable.
The service is hit and miss. Some waitresses will serve you complimentary miso soup and edamame as soon as you sit down, others won't bring it at all. The staff turnover is unreal, new waitresses every few weeks it seems. Having a waitress take your order usually takes a long time, but if you can convince one to take your order, the food comes pretty quickly. It's cheaper than Umai, and the food is good, so I put up with it on a regular basis!

I generally order from the kitchen and not the sushi bar, so the food is always amazing! Though I can't say much about the sushi.
The service, well, that changes overtime. Restaurants go through lots of staff. I just hope that the next people they hire are nicer than these ones.
The Price is right! I can get supper for around $12-13. But they need to spend some money fixing that place up.

Excellent food...love the california rolls. The waitress was super friendly and went out of her way to help us pick the food, and show us how to eat it (we were a bit clueless).
The chef was friendly too and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

Yea Sorry To Say But For The $30 I paid For This Little Boat I Got Maybe 14 Pieces Of Sushi Which Is An Amazing Ripoff Considering That The Supplies To Make The Meal Maybe Cost 4-5$.
Decent Service, But The Staff Were Eating Right In The Restaurant During A Service And That Is Inapprpriate And Discusting.
The Restaurant Itself Is Very Cramped And Most Of The Decorations Look Cheap And Fake.
Also If You Do Decide To Visit Ichibang Look At The Counter Where They Are Rolling The Sushi, The Time I Went In There The Counter Was Dirty And Looked Like It Hadn't Been Washed In Days.Honesty If You Want Good Sushi, At A Fair Price Goto Umai Sushi, Its Clean, You Get A Very Good Meal At A Good Price.
- Order: Some Sort Of Small Boat
