Still can't believe how much nicer this restaurant is since they have added the Thai restaurant- much cleaner- things hung in a neat manner , repainted- someone actually took time to put things up, everything no longer looks like things were tossed anywhere on the walls- decor is tasteful- Thai side is attracting a younger crowd- environment is up beat- a welcome change to the south end- no longer a dirty cluttered fish place.

I will say this much, it truly pains me to say I shall never be returning to Anke's and Tony's as it was once a wonderful seafood restaurant... but has now become one of the worst restaurants, if not THE worst restaurant in Sudbury (4 Corners location) .
When the server had asked us the first time if everything was ok, I had only sipped on my drink, so of course it was ok, as nothing had been prepared by the restaurant.
As I took my first bite of the fried fish I could puke, the batter was no longer light an airy as it has been in the past, but this thick disgusting congealed dark gold caked on layer.
My Husband was equally disgusted by his platter and tried to choke back a piece of shrimp, his 2nd effort he tried to remove the layer of batter that had been caked on.
The server had thus inquired a 2nd time if everything was ok and we said yes, as this was one of our favourite restaurants to visit for a light lunch and we did not wish to offend. The moment that angered us both, was when we tried our fries and they were not cooked through, it was not crunchy over cooked, but severely under cooked, we were served pieces of raw/undercooked fries along with properly cooked through fries.
We could not continue and asked for the bill, instead of being polite and removing the two dishes that were clearly not eaten by 2 regular customers, the waiter brought us our full bill and slinked away.
When called back, what ensued was him explaining to us that we should have said something was wrong, and it was our fault for not recognizing their many cooking methods... Multiple cooking styles for fries and fried fish (I seriously consider this to be a well thought out fabrication). He then proceed to loudly tell us about different batter requests we could have made.
I lost my calm at this child like treatment, and told him plainly... I would pay for all our drinks and appetizers but I refused to pay for meals that were not eaten. He then called his manager and loud enough for the restaurant to hear and ourselves, told his manger “we hadn't eaten it and we were saying the food was disgusting and we didn't like it, and he was not sure what he should do, and he had seen us there before etc.” Not only could I hear it perfectly clear, but so to could other customers in the restaurant, absolutely reprehensible customer service, an experience I have never in my life endured.
He proceeded to take off the meals that were utter atrocious and charge me for what we had eaten, telling us he was sorry. And I do believe he tried his best.
I understand that many people lie about things and try to get meals for free, but we were regular customers, that you had recognized, and knew to usually leave happy with our meal and always pleasant, but instead they chose to humiliate and speak down to us throughout such an already disappointing experience. This restaurant has now lost our patronage.
It will forever be remember as just our worst dining experience ever. - Order: Lobster Bisque, Clam Chowder, Famous Fish and Chips and Seafood Platter

Service is great, food is good, tables are nice- chairs are comfortable and sturdy- the walls and decor is a disater. Too much crap everywhere- no flow, needs a garage sale. Things are hung haphazardly. I do not like the feeling of being cluttered by stuff everywhere- it is to busy and needs the junk taken out and a coat of paint. For now I will stick to take out.

Every time my husband and I go to Anke & Tony's, we're never disappointed.
The food is really good, the atmosphere is interesting, and the owners always come out of the kitchen to make sure you're enjoying your meal. - Order: salmon, fish & chips, shrimp

The food and service fell far short of what we expected - not enough fish in the batter - nice clean premises - the Teklenburg Restaurant on Lasalle Blvd. is far superior.

The fish was very poor quality and it was mosly batter, hardly any fish. The service was terrible!! It took them a long time to come and ask us what we wanted. The waitress wasn't friendly and she gave my husband's meal to someone else and she wanted them to switch their plates even though the other woman had started eating out of her plate. I will never go back!
- Order: We had the all you can eat fish.

Most excellent tasty food. Portion size exceeds what one can eat. Always take home doggy bag. Best seafood place in Northern Ontario. Very clean and handicapped accessible thru-out the whole restarant. Washrooms immaculate. Service is very personalble and second to none.

Being a longtime fan of Teklemburgs restaurant on Lasalle, I was thrilled to learn Tony and Anke had returned to the Sudbury area and had opened another seafood restaurant. So I went with my Mom. The food is amazing, as it had been (and continues to be) at the other Teklenburgs, but for whatever reason, this new restaurant, Tony & Anke's, lacks the same comfortable atmosphere, has poor service and the prices are ridiculously expensive. I can handle the difference in atmosphere and will even tolerate a less friendly server just to get to the menu's delicious fish. But I refuse to go back now because the prices are just far too high. I don't understand why they are so pricey. So, I just visit the original one on Lasalle, because the different owners there offer a much more reasonably priced menu for the same delicious meal and the staff is nicer and the restaurant is much, much cozier.

It was a little chilly when we arrived, but the waitress turned up the heat immediately. (don't be afraid to ask) Friday evening is always busy here, so expect a little bit of a wait for the food, however, the food is always top notch, fresh and hot. The owners are always there, and very particular. It was the 1st time I had the stuffed roughie, and it was amazing. I have a big appetite, and had to take half home. The $8.50 fish and chips is consistantly extemely good. This place is always a treat, the best sea food in town and reasonable prices.
- Order: Hawaiian fish (special of the night), shrimp, stuffed roughie, fish and chips
